Good food. Felt rushed by server.

Met a colleague here for dinner after work to talk and do a little planning for the next day. As we were talking with each other the server kept coming over to ask us if we were ready to order drinks/appetizers/dinner. The food they brought was very good. I had the chicken masala. It was nicely cooked, good flavor, and served with a nice mix of grilled vegetables. As we finished our meal, we once again had our server quickly clearing our table and asking if we were ready for the check. They didn’t ask if we were interested in coffee or dessert, no feeling like we were welcome to relax and talk a little more. Just had the feeling he wanted us done and gone. I would recommend Nino’s for the food and hope you get a different server who might better allow you to enjoy your dinner.

Great service. Great food. Perfect!

Traveling with a pet can be difficult, especially at meal time. Nino’s welcomes well behaved canine family members outdoors on the beautiful covered patio. We were promptly greeted and seated. The service was outstanding. My wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Carbonara and I had the Shrimp Carbonara. Both were outstanding and paired perfectly with the recommended Sangiovese. The portions were more than adequate so dessert was not an option for us. We’ll definitely be goin back to Nino’s.

Great Place for Lunch

I've had business lunches several times at Nino's, and if that is an indication, their dinners should be great. My experience so far is in the salad area, and they have some good choices. The food choices of my lunch companions have always looked yummy, and no one was complaining! Laid back atmosphere and layout is conducive to business discussions.

Less Than Enthusiastic Wait Staff

Wow. Used to give 5 stars no problem, but WHAT HAS HAPPENED since Covid? The service has gone way down hill. Yikes. Dinner last night night, waitress literally couldn’t be bothered to be even halfway pleasant, a far cry from a couple years back when the service was a big reason to eat there. Food is always good, but I hope the owner reads this and realizes the other half of spending your hard earned money to eat out is excellent service, and what we got was barely adequate. And not a busy night at all. Shame.

My family and I drove an hour to experience this restaurant for the first time. The day before we were told we were not allowed to make a reservation for an unknown reason, but they said the patio is first come first serve. The day we were to meet, we called ahead of time to see if the patio was a long wait. The hostess told us there was a party of 8 currently eating and would be our table next since we were a party of 8 and it would probably be around a 30 minute wait. When we arrived to put our name in we were told it would be a 3 hour wait. As we seemed confused, the manager, Jamie came up and we explained the situation. Jamie couldn’t give us an explanation and kept talking in circles saying “you don’t have to eat here.” I want to be clear, we weren’t rude. Jamie actually proceeded to say “ Every customer thinks they’re special, but you’re not better than anyone else here” and said again about 10 more times “you don’t have to eat here.” Needless to say we were baffled, all we were trying to do was simply put our name down at a restaurant and were treated so unkindly from the manager, Jamie. The owner however was very apologetic and offered us drinks but we didn’t want to eat there after that because of the manager Jamie.

Place looks real nice and our server was friendly, but the food was awful. Lasagna tasted like it came out of a box. Chicken in the piccata was dry and portion was very small. Spaghetti was raw and meatballs were small and had no flavor. We didn't even bother with dessert.

Just OK at best

Food was very basic and nothing was exceptional. Went based on all the amazing reviews and the fact that there is not many fine dining options in Greenville, NC but I’d say it’s a notch above a Olive Garden. The Arancini were tiny and lacked flavor, the Cesar salad had a very thick yellow dressing on it, the eggplant parm also flavorless with small pieces of eggplant and the ravioli had a taste of lemon (which was simply odd). The cannoli shell was soft instead of crispy. The service however was top notch! Oh and they did charge a $6 fee bc my husband snd I decided to share a dish, who does that in this day and age. Our bill was $130 and I won’t be back nor would I recommend it.

Nino’s is a great restaurant if you would like to enjoy a dinner with your family , friends or your lover. We had been coming since they opened it but on one occasion they treated us so terribly that we decided not to return. but now that Éric is here everything has improved 100%. He is the best manager they could have chosen.

Glad I went back again!!

This was my second visit with a bit of time between visits. My first visit was amazing. The food was great, and my server, Lydia, was above and beyond. I was really looking forward to this visit. I happened to read some of the latest reviews, and was concerned that perhaps things had changed. I am happy to report that I went anyway, and this experience was just as good as the first visit! Truly a 5-star visit!! The food was just as good as my first visit (if not better). I had requested to sit in Lydia’s section, but was told she was off. I was placed under the care of Olivia B., and was not disappointed at all I’m the service. Olivia lived up to the expectations that Lydia had set on my last visit. Don’t let the negative reviews below hold you back. Go experience the great ambiance, food and especially the service (ask for Lydia or Olivia!)

Hidden Italian gem in NC

This Italian restaurant is amazing! The ambiance and food were good. It’s a hidden gem in an area full of fast food and chain restaurants. The drinks are good, the presentation are good and the food is delicious. If you ever find yourself in Greenville NC please visit this place. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely restaurant , delicious food ! We were here visiting and went in without a reservation , very busy night but the seated us at a high top at the bar which was perfect . Service was great .

LARGE EVENT I DO NOT RECOMMEND

I invited over 20 people to one of the BEST (so I thought) birthday events. Let’s start here. I reserved the event weeks in advance. The reservation staff were not friendly. One person seemed annoyed with my event. She suggested I bring in less than 10 at a time. I understood as one does not want to “OVER EXTEND” the chef at one time. I had 2 groups staggered one after the other. I also asked if we can have the group next to each other in the existing tables set up so my guests can have their own ticket. The reservationist seemed irritated with my suggestion. She agreed but on the day of the event she still put all the tables on one ticket. The food was marginal. The SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT THOUGH. WE PAID THE EVENT ON ONE CREDIT CARD. AS THE BIRTHDAY GIRL I WILL NOT USE NINOs for large events. BTW, we tipped 25%. I’ve gone back with a group of 3. It was OK.

Great Italian

My Mom was at ECU Medical Center for several days. My adult daughter and I were tired and hungry. We stopped at Nino’s and ate dinner at the bar. Enjoyed a caesar salad and an entree of baby clams and pasta. Food was absolutely awesome. Wait staff very attentive and helpful with food selection. Would definitely recommend Nino’s.
