Food was very basic and nothing was exceptional. Went based on all the amazing reviews and the fact that there is not many fine dining options in Greenville, NC but I’d say it’s a notch above a Olive Garden. The Arancini were tiny and lacked...flavor, the Cesar salad had a very thick yellow dressing on it, the eggplant parm also flavorless with small pieces of eggplant and the ravioli had a taste of lemon (which was simply odd). The cannoli shell was soft instead of crispy. The service however was top notch! Oh and they did charge a $6 fee bc my husband snd I decided to share a dish, who does that in this day and age. Our bill was $130 and I won’t be back nor would I recommend it.More

Met a colleague here for dinner after work to talk and do a little planning for the next day. As we were talking with each other the server kept coming over to ask us if we were ready to order drinks/appetizers/dinner. The food they brought...was very good. I had the chicken masala. It was nicely cooked, good flavor, and served with a nice mix of grilled vegetables. As we finished our meal, we once again had our server quickly clearing our table and asking if we were ready for the check. They didn’t ask if we were interested in coffee or dessert, no feeling like we were welcome to relax and talk a little more. Just had the feeling he wanted us done and gone. I would recommend Nino’s for the food and hope you get a different server who might better allow you to enjoy your dinner.More

My family and I drove an hour to experience this restaurant for the first time. The day before we were told we were not allowed to make a reservation for an unknown reason, but they said the patio is first come first serve. The day...we were to meet, we called ahead of time to see if the patio was a long wait. The hostess told us there was a party of 8 currently eating and would be our table next since we were a party of 8 and it would probably be around a 30 minute wait. When we arrived to put our name in we were told it would be a 3 hour wait. As we seemed confused, the manager, Jamie came up and we explained the situation. Jamie couldn’t give us an explanation and kept talking in circles saying “you don’t have to eat here.” I want to be clear, we weren’t rude. Jamie actually proceeded to say “ Every customer thinks they’re special, but you’re not better than anyone else here” and said again about 10 more times “you don’t have to eat here.” Needless to say we were baffled, all we were trying to do was simply put our name down at a restaurant and were treated so unkindly from the manager, Jamie. The owner however was very apologetic and offered us drinks but we didn’t want to eat there after that because of the manager Jamie.More

Traveling with a pet can be difficult, especially at meal time. Nino’s welcomes well behaved canine family members outdoors on the beautiful covered patio. We were promptly greeted and seated. The service was outstanding. My wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Carbonara and I had the...Shrimp Carbonara. Both were outstanding and paired perfectly with the recommended Sangiovese. The portions were more than adequate so dessert was not an option for us. We’ll definitely be goin back to Nino’s.More

This Italian restaurant is amazing! The ambiance and food were good. It’s a hidden gem in an area full of fast food and chain restaurants. The drinks are good, the presentation are good and the food is delicious. If you ever find yourself in Greenville...NC please visit this place. You will not be disappointed.More

Wow. Used to give 5 stars no problem, but WHAT HAS HAPPENED since Covid? The service has gone way down hill. Yikes. Dinner last night night, waitress literally couldn’t be bothered to be even halfway pleasant, a far cry from a couple years back when...the service was a big reason to eat there. Food is always good, but I hope the owner reads this and realizes the other half of spending your hard earned money to eat out is excellent service, and what we got was barely adequate. And not a busy night at all. Shame.More

Place looks real nice and our server was friendly, but the food was awful. Lasagna tasted like it came out of a box. Chicken in the piccata was dry and portion was very small. Spaghetti was raw and meatballs were small and had no flavor....We didn't even bother with dessert.More

I've had business lunches several times at Nino's, and if that is an indication, their dinners should be great. My experience so far is in the salad area, and they have some good choices. The food choices of my lunch companions have always looked yummy,...and no one was complaining! Laid back atmosphere and layout is conducive to business discussions.More

When it comes to dining out, I want a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service, good drinks, and good food. When entering the restaurant you walk under a canopy of soft white lights and then are greeted by a hostess who has a genuine nice smile....My first time at the restaurant I was there for an informal business meeting in Dec 2019. I noticed the restaurant was steady with what appeared to be regular guest. I sat the bar, far left near the corner; it was a little over half full. Right away the bartender walked over to ask how I was doing and just made a recommendation for a drink without me even asking. It reminded me of being at a family members home... I had their Mule, as recommended and the person I was with ordered a drink that was smoked with fire. It was fun to watch the bartender to prepare. As an appetizer I order the Honey Roasted Shrimp and dinner the Seafood Cannelloni. After the first bite of the shrimp, I was mad because I had to share. They were fried crispy but I knew they were fresh because they had a slightly sweet taste without the accompanying sauce, and they were soft but firm. If you are shrimp lover you know exactly what I am talking about. Next up was the Seafood Cannelloni, it was more than enough; arriving in a large white bowl (12 inches). In my opinion the sauce is always the best part. Their vodka sauce was rich and creamy, I closed my eyes at the first taste, and that bite didn't even have the seafood, the sauce was just amazing. Once I got to the pasta and seafood, I was sold. There were chucks of lobster, shrimp, and scallops folded into a cannelloni that had its only little sauce. It was layered with flavor that you discover with each bite. I knew that was going to be my secret local Italian spot reserved for people who are my friends and family. My next visit was take out, Jan 2020. I ordered by phone; I had to call twice, which was a little frustrating. Over the phone I ordered the Seafood Cannelloni again, and inquired about their desserts. I asked about their cheesecake; but decided to hold off because I had some cupcakes at the house. I really wanted some cheesecake. When I arrive at the restaurant to pick up my food, there were people standing outside waiting to get a seat, it was PACKED. There were three talented kids set up playing jazz in the lobby of the bar. The atmosphere was set for you to eat, drink, and be happy around family and friends. At that point I realized why it took so long to get through to place my order, so I was forgiving. I gave the hostess my name and told her to add the cheesecake to my order. She told me, with a huge smile, she already did, and it was on the house. Now that is service. The ability to predict what a guest wants before they request it means you're in tune to non verbal cues. That just made me happy. I will start with the cheesecake, it was smooth like velvet, and had enough raspberry sauce drizzled on top. Enough raspberry to have with each bite. The Cannelloni was OK still layered with flavor but I recommend ordering when you have time to sit-in the restaurant and enjoy. I will be returning; it is a great restaurant.More

My family hosted a birthday party here & the staff was amazing. Entrees are a bit pricey & portions are huge (unlike “real” portions in Italy). I have spent time in Italy, and I can assure you that most of the menu items are not...something you would find to be authentic, however, for an American Italian restaurant, it’s definitely better than a chain restaurant. It was very loud & hot, but service was very good. It seems to be a popular place for large groups, so I didn’t find it to be very cozy or romantic. It’s worth trying & I would definitely choose it over any Italian chain restaurant.More

We recently visited Nino’s for a date night. Looking for a low-carb option, I decided to try the porkchop. Not only is it the best chop in town, it’s one of the best pork chops I’ve ever eaten. The prep and presentation isn’t fancy but...the flavor and quantity will blow you away. Definitely a hidden gem on their menu. Service was great as well. We will definitely be back!More

I cannot remember, but if its on the menu I always ask if it is made in-house. As I did not order it, it either was not on the menu, or was not made in-house (if its not rolled off a fork, its not home-made).
