This use to be our go to place for great salads and sandwiches. The atmosphere and history is unique. However on a recent visit, our food was just mediocre. The bread was tough and the fries were just OK. More alarming, EVERY single employee except...the bar tender had their masks below their noses or completely off for the majority of time we were there even though the sign on the door stated masks are required. During a pandemic, the least they could do is follow their own rules. It was very disappointing.More

A late lunch took a turn for the worst at the Winslow's Deli. Entering this establishment was uneventful donning our covid Mask and choosing to sit on the outside terrace. We were handed two menus and a beer list. We felt a bit rushed and...when asked questions regarding the various beers our waitress was clueless. We ordered a Crab Dip and Ruben Sandwich with French Fries. Just BEFORE we were serve a Vagrant came meandering from inside the restaurant and sat at the table next to us and began starring. He ordered nothing The Crab Dip was served in a bread bowl with soft pita bread totally useless in this application. The rubin followed shortly thereafter and was really unremarkable. The Corned Beef was not Brisket but a cheaper cut of Beef Round. The French Fries were Substandard Grade meaning small fines irregular lengths again the cheap version from their foodservice distributor. Very unnerving. After leaving we tried to call the Manager but the young lady who answered the call refused to forward the call and became argumentative. It is truly a shame in this time with all the challenges facing small business careless indifferent employees only add to the difficulties.More

The sign on the door said no one was allowed in without a mask. We wore our's, and, chose to sit at the bar. The first time I saw the bartender with her mask below her nose, I thought, "she's just let it slip." Wrong....The entire hour that we were there, she never once put the mask over her nose. One time I saw her pull it down from her mouth to talk to a customer, over the service area of the bar. I'm providing a photo to prove what I'm saying. I hate to do that but this situation really bothered me. We're in the middle of a pandemic. The businesses in our town need to take that seriously.More

Gave 3 stars due to due to the wonderful draft beer selection but foodwise I assume ownership has changed. This was always our go to place for the best burgers in Greenville but menu changed from last yrs visit. Burger options reduced and size too....Won't revisit sorry to sayMore

Once the site for mule auctions, Winslow’s restored building is now home for craft beer and deli delights. Met friends here for lunch before the ECU basketball game. Winslow’s is just one of several new businesses in a rejuvenated downtown Greenville. Menu features eclectic sandwiches...not normally found in BBQ country. I had the walk-the-plank sandwich, grilled turkey with a spicy kick and the homemade chips. Wifey had the chicken salad sandwich—both very good. Took a self-guided tour of the building after lunch, up into the loft area where buyers used to bid on mules below. Very friendly and attentive wait staff. Lots of pictures of old Greenville on the walls for nostalgia lovers.More

Cozy little place with a laid back vibe. Plenty of beer options to choose from. Loaded chips were a very tasty appetizer but dinner was just okay. I thought the portion on the pulled pork sandwich was kind of small and my French dip sandwich...wasn’t very hot. If I would rave about anything it would be the tummy Mac and cheese. On a side note the place es pretty empty and when using the ladies room 2 of 3 stalls were clogged and disgusting which is always a turn off . I could see if school was in session and the place was mobbed but there were three occupied tables when we got there.More

Very good martini! However, ny burger was mediocre, and my friend was very disappointed in her French Dip which came recommended.

A solid choice for a casual meal in an interesting building. Apparently the location was originally a horse and mule stable and then a hardware store. Food was good and the service prompt.

Burgers, salads, dips, chips and special sauces. Great choices from Tues night beer and drink specials. Sweet Potato waffle fries excellent. Private table for nine with super service.

Got the french dip and the old fashion. These are go tos in my family. I got the half strawberry salad and it was perhaps the best salad i have had in a long time. Lots of nuts and fruit. The strawberries were tasty. The...strawberry dressing sounds strange, but it is quite tasty. Worth a try.More
