When I went in the young man was very nice. He let me sample the brisket and I loved it. He let me sample so many things. I was full when I left from just samples. I sampled the ribs,Mac&cheese, okra,Apple cobbler everything was good.I will frequent this place often.

Looking for smoked ribs not Carolina BBQ and read this place might be good. Well it wasn't. The ribs were tough and dry, not falling off the bone as I had read. The green beans were too salty but the cole slaw was the only saving grace. I will not be frequenting this place

Came with several people for lunch. We all had the brisket sandwich and fries. The brisket was good, the BBQ sauce was not to overpowering, you still had a flavor of the meat. The fries were waffle fries, I did not care for, too thin and the serving was small. The service was good, people were friendly. Everyone else liked... More

The staff was friendly enough but the food was below par for barbeque. They did have the Carolina vinegar sauce however.

I was recently visiting some relatives in Eastern NC and tripped over one of my favorite Texas BBQ joints. I had already had my fill of Vinegar-based local fare, so I was ready for some Brisket and red sauce. I swear by the Westerner and it didn't disappoint. Staff was super-friendly and the restaurant was spotless. Finished it off with... More

3 people $45 and still hungry. . The brisket was dry. Said it was a pound. If it was (well) East Coast Wings would have costed pretty much the same with bigger pirtions and better taste

We like the Dickey's chain, but this particular restaraunt was disappointing. We came in around two in the afternoon and were the only customers. They brought out most of our food, but part of the order wasn't ready yet (the biscuits). They said they were making a new batch. Unless they make their biscuits from scratch, I can see no... More

We were going to be traveling through the area and searched here on TA for a restaurant that would have good ribs ( not just bbq) and be open on Sunday. Dickey's was an excellent choice for us: the menu had many selections of sides, the prices were fair and the ribs were meaty and tasty. We also enjoyed the... More

I was so glad when I found out Dickey's was coming to town. This is BBQ the way it was meant to be done. No offense, but pepper flakes in vinegar does NOT BBQ make, at least not to me. This meat, regardless of what kind you choose, is smoked, tender and so full of flavor it needs no sauce... More

Don't expect to get a lot of food here, especially if you're thinking about getting the 2 meat plate. I got a 2 meat plate with Texas style chopped brisket and pulled pork, with fried Okra and potato casserole as my two sides. First, it did not come with any bread or roll as advertised. Second, the two meats were... More
