I think they really have great pizza here. I usually get pepperoni or the supreme which has just about everything on it. As you sit down you are greeted with breads for dipping in oil and dark vinegar, delicious. Staff are always nice and quick to serve. Nice quiet place no loud music at all. Great date night or even... More

Always consistent deliciousness!! Their sauce has so much flavor in all their dishes and the portions are large. Be prepared to have something for your next day's lunch in a take-out!

Dinner with parents. I was only one who did not like my meal at all. Ordered shrimp scampi and it was just awful. Others tasted it and agreed. Hubby ordered chicken Parmesan and he liked his dish. Both parents enjoyed their dishes. Seafood dish with linguini for dad and creamy penne pasta for mom.

I've been wanting to try Portofino's for a while now and finally had a chance to take the family. My daughter and I ordered the spaghetti and my wife ordered a pizza. The spaghetti was swimming in water and the sauce was pretty bland. My daughter had the same problem. Not sure if the cook was in a hurry to... More

The best Italian food in town since Angie's burned. Very good pizza and pasta dishes with good salads. Our favorites include the lasagna and ziti. Don't let their bread ruin your appetite.

Eat there almost every weekend. Best Italian restaurant in the area! It is always good! I have dined in and carryout most often. Forget the chains, this restaurant is run by an Italian.

We enjoy visiting this restaurant on date night or before going to the movies. Service is always great and the food is good and there is a lot of it!

The house salad dressing is what makes this little place so unique. I prefer to dip my bread in it, the flavor is so unique. The pizza is also good (and large) but the bolognese sauce is fabulous! If you're a true southerner, skip the sweet tea...it's awful!

Pizza taste great, but they tell you 20 mins for carryout, you show up after 30 mins and they tell you 10 more mins and act like why did you show up early?

Ever since we moved to Gastonia six years ago, we always ordered pizza from Portofinos, but I never took my time to voice my opinion. The dough is as authentic as it can be and the topping, regardless of the combination, is always perfectly balanced. We appreciate the consistency, no matter what day or time we order pizza. We'll continue... More
