I've been here twice and both times the food was better than expected given some of the really negative reviews I had read. Both times the staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to accommodate me. The food was good and portions generous. I was very pleased that I was able to get a lunch portion of a Japanese Hibachi meal for dinner, but still could not finish half as I had also ordered dumplings (my favorite) - which they serve fried or steamed. I was also impressed with the large variety of items they have on their menu. Although I have only been twice, I have not had a bad meal or experience. We had no problem getting a seat. The biggest part of their business seems to be take out.

The service was adequate for function but was less than friendly. The quality of the food and its presentation was good, but listening the argument in the food preparation area was very deflating to the appetite. The servers did just that and nothing more as I had to get up and good get my own tea refill. I did notice that the health inspection rating was low which might be a reflection of the environment and the negative vive I was feeling but what should you expect from a not so "cheap eat' place????:-(

We often get takeout from this establishment and the sushi is fresh and always great. They ususally have a bogo as well. The chinese dishes are not bad but not the first place i go to for my generals chicken.

I went back to the restaurant because I thought they had forgotten the white rice. The cashier opened the see-thru container to show me the rice was underneath, and that's when I noticed brown-looking rice and asked what kind of rice it was. The cashier told me during lunchtime that it comes with pork fried rice. I told her I didn't know because I don't eat pork. But I looked at the menu, and it says "served with pork fried rice OR white rice." I never checked the menu when I ordered. I didn't know there was an option at lunchtime for the rice since I've only been at this establishment during dinner hours. And during dinner hours, we always have white rice. So, I told the cashier that I didn't eat pork, I needed a new one, and to please make sure they don't just scrape the pork fried rice off the bottom of the chicken and broccoli and give it back to me white rice. The cashier returned a few moments later. I recognized significantly less chicken and broccoli in the see-thru container and a ton of rice. I asked the cashier did they scrape the pork fried rice off the bottom, and she shook her head yes. I told the cashier I needed to speak with the cook. The woman came from the back and immediately was indignant, angry, and defensive. While I was talking to her, she just went to the back. Later an older gentleman came from the back and told me to “get the f out” at least four times. It shook me! I've been to this restaurant more times than I can count and was very shocked. It was so bad that the other customer apologized to me for having to experience this. I was fighting back the tears because I couldn't believe I was being treated this way. After getting home, my husband tried to call and speak with the gentleman who cursed me out but to no avail. So, he went there. He asked them to have the gentleman come out, but he wouldn’t come out. Eventually, he came towards the register and started screaming, “get the out while sticking up his middle fingers.” Of course, my husband went off and told him he was never coming back to that restaurant. He told my African American husband I don’t need your money anyway; I only make 25 cents off Y’ALL. The woman called 911 and told them my husband threatened to kill them (which he didn’t). Five minutes later, five cop cars. After interviewing my husband, the cashier, and the gentleman, the conclusion was the owner was wrong. The cashier even acknowledged they are always disrespectful and that my husband NEVER threatened to kill them. We are NEVER going back there! And I wouldn’t encourage Y’ALL to go back either since he claims they only make 25 cents off of Y’ALL.

This was my second visit, so I expected the restaurant owners to be friendly and hospitable. THEY WEREN'T. After giving a hospitality lesson to the wife, I took my takeout home. The soup was fine, but my cheese wontons had red bits in them, indicating crabmeat. Since these were not what I had before, I return for an exchange, whereupon an employee tried to convince me that crab rangoons and cream cheese wontons are the same.I'm vegetarian; I know the difference. I did NOT ask for money back. I only asked that they throw the wontons away. As I was heading toward the door, I noticed the husband. Thinking that he could clarify the situation, I turned toward him. He starts screaming at me,"GET OUTTA HERE." If I could give this place a ZERO, I would! The disrespect was outrageous.

We use their delivery service, which can be interesting since if they are busy, they may "lose" your order. If you did it via their website, just call a few minutes later to check they have it. This hasn't stopped us because normally they are very efficient and the food is delivered quickly - I think Sunday is one of the busiest nights. The sushi is always good, and so are all of the appetizers. I like the sesame beef, the special fried rice, shrimp egg foo yung, and any of the specials. Unless the food gets worse, we'll keep coming back for more.

Really good food, with lots of choices. The sushi is really very good, but all the dishes are good. We love the sesame dishes, egg foo yung, and the appetizers. Try the boneless spare ribs. We order delivery and they are very fast given how busy they get. Food is always fresh and really hot.

Used their on line ordering system. They don’t check it. Totally confused staff. Chinese restaurant that thinks no MSG means no mushrooms can be a little dangerous. Food was not good after a 45 minute wait for an ignored on line order.

My family has always ordered take out but last night we decided to eat in. We made an error when ordering our sushi roll. We ask that it be taken back because my son would not eat raw fish. The owner freaked out. And started to get loud with us.. demanding we pay we ordered. Still in a calm voice we asked as a curtiosy could she take it back and make what we normally order. She says NO YOU ORDER YOU PAY. Given the fact we go there often we we're very disappointed. I truly hope that others take caution when placing their order.. there is absolutely no tolerance for error in this restaurant. Lost a customer.

Small, what looks like a takeout restaurant but inside they have some of the best priced for value maki rolls, shashimi and Nigiri. If you like sushi I would definitely recommend.

Been there several times only for sushi and found it exceptional for the price. Decor leaves a little to the imagination but sushi is very good

Not only did they screw up my first online order, they blamed me. I ordered 2 eel nigiri, they made one. I was told I only ordered one. no offer to make another, just that it was my fault. I showed them the order still on the screen of my phone, then they looked at their system and WHAT DO YOU KNOW. I ordered two. Mistakes are made, it is how you fix them that makes the difference. I honestly understand that things get missed. Not only were they not helpful, but they blamed me for the error. The second time, I was on lunch from work and set a timer on my phone so I know when I have to be back. I ordered online and noted that I plan to eat-in, but wanted to get the food started. I arrived 10-12 minutes later and I told them I was there for the online order. They shrugged and looked at their computer and said "Oh, here is is" A woman waiting for her food looked at me and shrugged. I smiled and shrugged back. They hadn't started it. No biggie, I was seated. I look at my timer. after a while I look at the timer again. 14 minutes passed. No one offered to get a drink, get me silverware but the wrong food was delivered to the table. I go to the front to ask what is going on and they again, blame me. Saying that I told them I ordered the food that was delivered. Yet again, I point out the order and I was right. I explain that I cannot wait (As they find my order in a to go bag) and I go to Subway. I realize that if I were the owner I'd like to know how it went. So, I go back and ask who I would speak to about the situation. They go get the owner who comes out and stares at me. No introduction, just stares at me. I ask him if he is the manager or the owner, and he say "what do you want?" I ask if he is the owner and he says "yes, now what do you want?" So I start to explain the past two orders. I am maybe 15 seconds in and he yells "Shut up, you leave, get out now!" Remember the woman who shrugged? She saw the entire thing from beginning to end and let out a "WOW!!" She shrugged again and I asked her if she would help tell this story. She said "You know I will!!!!'' A completely ridiculous reaction to someone just wanting to eat in a timely fashion. I assume the owner is a bajillionare and doesn't need any more of my money. A shame actually, the food tastes pretty good.

This is the best place for sushi in Garner now, IMO. Since Hibachi sushi closed last year we have been looking for another good sushi place and now we have found it! Welcome to town Hibachi88! The ambiance is not that great but they really try hard and the service is very good. You should not be disappointed in the food whether dine in or take out!
