We are at Angie's this morning while visiting friends in Raleigh. The popularity of the restaurant was evident when we arrived to a crowd of customers waiting outside. The wait was worth it (and not unreasonable at all). We had a wide variety of menu options and no one was disappointed. The portions are very generous and it is well-priced.

Super homemade Southern food and service. Off the beaten track. Open early for truckers. We went for lunch 3 times and enjoyed pork chops, chicken, and blackened options. Desserts to due for.

Such friendly folks! Our group of 7 ranged from 1 to 80.very popular breakfast and lunch spot so a reservation was helpful. We ordered an assortment of kiddie food, omelets, sandwiches and country cooking specials like country fried steak with veggies, biscuits and banana pudding.Service was fast, friendly, attentive and child friendly.Casual, fun local spot close to I-40.

If you happen to be in the Garner area (east side of Raleigh) and want a great southern breakfast, you can't miss at Angie's. Be forewarned, the place is always busy with a wait. But they move people through quickly so the wait is rarely more than 15-20 minutes. Great biscuits and gravy, homemade sausage, huge omelets. Nothing fancy but... More

Greg Cox, the food critic of the News & Observer recently rated Angie's his top Southern cooking pick in a yearly ranking. He and I agree that for friendly service and home cooking at bargain prices you can not do better in the area!

This is a great place to eat lunch or breakfast. The food has always been delicious every time I've been there. I ate there so much when I was pregnant they knew me by name.

Breakfast for two, pancake, eggs, bacon, Angie's big country omelet, grits, biscuit, gravy and everything was very tasty, hot, and the order was right. The portions are very generous and the service really is first rate. Plan your visit around slower times though because the parking lot gets full and is difficult to navigate. Comfortable is not a word we... More

If you're looking for a place that has some good ol' down home cooking, then Angie's is the the place. They have the best country link sausage I've ever tasted and their pancakes are delish. It gets really crowded and it's really close quarters, but the food is the best and it's worth it. I've only had their breakfast, but... More

I've already reviewed Angie's but had to do another just for the crabcake eggs benedict! So good! Very flavorful crab cakes and in house made hollandaise! I hate getting stuff from a mix! Tangy and delicious over well cooked eggs! Again the portions were large, I got 1 pancake and we both couldn't finish it. The coffee however was not... More
