Harry’s Place is fabulous and iconic! As someone who was born and raised in Elkin and has lived across the country, I am always thrilled to go to Harry’s Place when I come home to Elkin. I have a lot of respect for Teresa, the...owner, who puts heart and soul and hard work into this business! Who could not love the food and hospitality. Thank you to Harry’s for so many enjoyable experiences.More

My husband is a fried chicjen addict so we ended up here for their fried chicken Thursday. I had the meatloaf and a cup of potato bacon soup. His chicken was 2 pieces choice of white or dark and 3 sides. The place is a...little rough looking on the inside but the staff and the food were excellent and the price was right. Better get their before 12 because they get packed.More

Classic Elkin restaurant, great atmosphere, food is great. Small place, but that is kind of the uniqueness of the place.

I usually eat here once a week. They have wonderful home cooked food. Love their baked beans and potato salad, well everything. Special each day with fried chicken on Thursdays.

Tonight was our first visit to Harry's Place. They open at 5 p.m. and we arrived at 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening. It was packed already. We signed in and had to wait about an hour before we were seated. My husband and I...ordered the ribeye steak which comes with a baked potato, salad and Texas toast. The steak was so tender it almost melted in our mouths, the salad, potato and bread were also delicious. Our friends ordered the crab legs, which seems to be the reason most people eat at Harry's in the first place. They said they were delicious and would definitely wait in line to eat them again. This is a very small place with limited seating, but the people are friendly, wait staff attentive, and the cook amazing. I would definitely recommend this gem, and will go back soon.More

I remember the days when Harry would sell beer, wine and cigarettes at the curb. I can remember seeing cars backed up across the train track lining up to be served. The food those days was the best in town. I remember " pickin and...grinning " nights when it was standing room only and I have heard some of the best pickers in the music industry. Now the food is still the best crab legs and steak in town. I highly recommend coming in early, the waiting list fills up quick.More

What a great surprise to find this gem. Their big burgers are cooked to perfection and in true NC style come with slaw if you ask. Everyone on staff were extremely helpful and prompt. Thankful that there are a few of these places left in...the US. I’ll be back!More

This place is a landmark / local legend. Family owned for decades and has stood the test of time. This is in part due to the fantastic culture rich food from the area and the amazing hamburgers. They have a crab leg night every week...which packs the place. It is the best lunch vegetable plate around. A must try place when you visit Elkin.More
