I tried a chocolate chip cookie=soft and delicious. I tried a pastry cream filled crossiant and it was wonderful. Tried a doughnut and it as great. Everything I tried was outstanding. They had pies, cakes, cookies and pastries. They offer breakfast and a daily lunch special.

I've been eating with these folks for going on 20 years. Started eating with them in Lumberton, enjoyed many lunches and pastries. Had a supper breakfast and pastries there last Saturday at a great price. Highly recommend this establishment and I will go there or one of his other locations again.

Good pimento cheese sandwich. Chicken salad is ok. Desserts are sweet but tasty. I'm not a fan of the filled "croissants", but they are popular.

This was a bicycle trip in North Carolina, and I'd come across a pig picking cake a few days earlier (there's no pig in it -- but it's often eaten at a pig picking, or barbecue). So I was looking for a chance to buy one if someone else could carry it. This is where I found it. It's a... More

I've tried their glazed croissants, their danish, their cakes, and all are sooo good!! Stopped in yesterday to get a while 15 layer cake to help survive the hurricane. It is a awesome! If you are in Elizabethtown, NC, you must stop by Burney's Sweets. You won't be disappointed!

Our family visited Burney's this past weekend, and we all agree we enjoy their breakfast as much as the sweets, if not more!

We recently stayed at the Elizabethtown Inn and they got some of Burney's pastries as part of breakfast one morning, so we never actually visited the shop, but had their amazing croissant pastries. Oh.my.word!!!! They were literally some of the absolute best pastries I've ever had!! Ever. Perfectly baked, flakey croissants, stuffed with filling (chocolate, lemon, apple, etc), then glazed.... It is worth the trip just for the croissants! Stuffed or plain they are a sweet indulgence. Get them by the dozen because one is not enough😀

Best croissants I've ever had! Highly recommend the cream cheese or Apple filled one, but I'm sure you can't go wrong. I also suggest getting a pecan pie to take home for dessert, they have the best pecan pie...hands down!
