Our family visited Burney's this past weekend, and we all agree we enjoy their breakfast as much as the sweets, if not more!

We recently stayed at the Elizabethtown Inn and they got some of Burney's pastries as part of breakfast one morning, so we never actually visited the shop, but had their amazing croissant pastries. Oh.my.word!!!! They were literally some of the absolute best pastries I've ever had!! Ever. Perfectly baked, flakey croissants, stuffed with filling (chocolate, lemon, apple, etc), then glazed.... It is worth the trip just for the croissants! Stuffed or plain they are a sweet indulgence. Get them by the dozen because one is not enough😀

Best croissants I've ever had! Highly recommend the cream cheese or Apple filled one, but I'm sure you can't go wrong. I also suggest getting a pecan pie to take home for dessert, they have the best pecan pie...hands down!

I was introduced to this last labor day when in town, and I absolutely fell in love with their honey buns warm and iced, the lady that waited on me that day I remember well was happy friendly! Long story short I went back in the past Saturday over the Memorial Day Weekend Holiday to obtain another but this time... More

There is not a whole lot in this town. The burger king (where I had been assigned for the day) is beyond slow (it was in Sept 2015) and there is not a lot of choices. I got there early so I could get a donut. It was an x in a circle. It was so good! Not for anyone... More

Purchased a chocolate cream cheese icing cake and waited all day to grab a bite. When I finally sat down long enough, I cut a slice and took a bite. The cake was so dry and icing barely had cream cheese to taste. Not worth the trip or money I spent. Obviously, the cake was not fresh. Very disappointing.

It's a doughnut shop - despite the other reviews, please do not expect anything that is remotely like a croissant in here!
