I went here with a friend for lunch. I had the hot dog "special", which consisted of a regular dog ($2.19), fries($1.79), and iced tea($1.79) for $5.59. Do the math. It ain't much of a special. It took us 40 minutes to get served, despite the fact that the place was about 75% full and they had 5 people working.... More

We've been here a handful of times, and every time, we ask ourselves why. It's not bad, just not good either and we always have waited a long time. Nothing worth writing home about.

The service has gone down hill, the portions are smaller and the food is not good since it sold and the staff has changed.

What a great place for lunch!! There is,ample sating and the food is great with reasonable prices. They have your hotdogs, burgers, same sandwiches, fries, fried pickles, sweet potato fries, dessert and more. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed eating here.

We have been here several times since it opened years ago. We usually go once a month. When the previous owner was in charge it was friendlier than it is now. The food is still great but staff just isn't as friendly/chatty, it's like it is more of a job for them and the previous staff had the happy look... More

We where in town for a quick visit and for me to look at a motorcycle. Needed lunch, I wanted a good hot dog. That is what I got. A very good hot dog. Wife got chicken and son a cheese burger. We all enjoyed our lunch.

Famous Franks is our favorite local grub-hub in Elizabeth City. The food is affordable, the staff is always friendly, and we never leave disappointed in the quality of our meal. They just started serving breakfast, and we are happy to support them. Famous Franks is good all day, any day!

We don't eat at hot dog places all that much. It generally isn't something I would crave but we went based on some friend's recommendations. With three children, eating out can get quite expensive. My husband had a delicious chicken salad sandwich and the kids all really enjoyed their hot dogs. I had a plate of fried pickles. They were... More
