Excellent dinner at a very reasonable price. Dinner for two, a bottle of wine and dessert for under sixty dollars can't be beat. The dinners were every tasty and the portions were very filling. The waitress,Brittani, was pleasant, helpful, friendly and efficient. Dessert was delicious and what was nice that they offered a half portion so you weren't stuffed afterwards.... More

Had dinner Friday night at Montero's during a stop in Elizabeth City just outside of the Outer Banks. The restaurant and bar were bustling and lively with folks and families. Our server was super friendly, and like the reviews that brought us to the restaurant the food was very good and not pricey.

Locally owned and great pride in details. Service was great with many selections and drink choices. Fried shrimp, shrimp and grits and fried flounder meals were as good as it gets. Wish we had room for dessert. Very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Meals had choice of lunch serving or dinner serving with appropriate prices.

We shared a Calamari that was adequate at best. I had the Shrimp & Grits, which was the worst I had ever had. The shrimps were over cooked and the grits were hard and lumpy. My husband had the Scallops Tuscana, which were also over cooked and tasteless. We decided to skip dessert.

It's a struggle for us Europeans. The food in restaurants is either deep fried or a pizza. The only green stuff is a salad, even Dominos deliver this but it's incredibly unimaginative. So it was a real pleasure to find a restaurant that 1) Serves proper food, you know the stuff, the food your body will thank you for and... More

We went for dinner. My wife loved this place and I did as well. It is in an old house which is awesome. The food was amazing and affordable and the service was great! Steaks are great! Everything was fresh and home cooked!

Staying in town for the night on the way to the beach. Went to Montero's for dinner. We were not disappointed. The service was great. The food was exceptional. We both ordered the smaller portion size and it was just the right amount of food.

Where to begin...beautiful old house, impeccably styled into a delightful restaurant. Lots of personal touches that show how much it means to the owners. We arrived to town late in the evening and asked our hotel what they would recommend (usually I do plenty of research in advance), so I was a bit skeptical. Everyone we spoke to was super... More

I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful this is. The restaurant itself is a beautiful old house and beautiful landscaping. The inside is equally as beautiful. The servers are very friendly give excellent service. The food was amazing. There is nothing they could improve. We were told about this restaurant before we left for our vacation and are... More
