Food is hit or miss. I usually get the alfredo sauce with garlic knots and a pepperoni pizza. You can't go wrong there. Service is friendly.

Every time I go to Van's Pizza, I have complete satisfaction with my food, whether it's pizza, hot subs or any other Italian dishes. It brings back memories of the good tasting food I had in Italy in the 70's.

Van’s, Truly an icon in Elizabeth City, NC... The food has been consistently made well, made with fresh ingredients, made for the customers to enjoy... We have been to this Van’s 5 different times and we have been impressed every single time!! When I say...the ingredients are fresh, we are talking about nice cuts of veggies, nothing tiny but not oversized that you are wondering how to eat... The meats have been nice slices of pepperoni and sausage, the norms we get, and cooked just right... We have yet to get an underdone or overdone pizza from this location. The pizza crust is traditionally a not thin, not thick and the edge has a little crunch to it and has never tasted like store bought or been sitting around... We have only sat down here once and had one of their sandwiches so I will not rate them on this item but it was fresh and had great flavor but I cannot speak to consistency... Definitely worth the stop and try...More

Always a favorite place of ours. About 95% of the time I get the Rotini. Excellent dish!! Pizza is great also.

Be prepared to wait if you come to this establishment. Slow service is only matched in comparison by a staff with a don’t care attitude.

Every trip is good, but the food is under seasoned. The atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. The servers are polite and attentive and make you feel welcomed.

Van's is a friendly pizza joint! But not just pizza. You can make up your own pasta dish any way you want to. If you want just veggie with your pasta, you can get it. Van's also has sandwiches and dessert (if you don't fill...up first). The wait staff is friendly and sometimes remembers what you had the last time you were there. Van's has been a landmark institution in Elizabeth City for decades. Its food and service is still top notch. The atmosphere is quite down home wholesome and the staff is friendly and quick with refill of their perfect sweet tea. We had the Meat lover's...pizza and it was great. I look forward to my next visit soon.More

I've been here several times and I needed lunch. I actually put a different pizza place on my GPS thinking this was it - but I saw it and stopped. I was seated quickly and ordered same - the meart gyro sandwich which came rapidly...with chips - which were really going on stale. The server came back, I mentioned that and - wow - a small plate with fresh chips and then a new glass of diet cola. The gyro was very good. All in all, I see why EC keeps coming back. I will too.More

they have very good waitresses, the food is very great, menu is Italian we have tried every thing and have not had a bad meal!!
