I’m trying to understand what I experienced both times I visited this place. I relocated recently to EC from Ohio and have been trying to become familiar with the area. After reading the online reviews, and as an avid coffee drinker, 2 different times I...have visited what I thought was to be a coffee shop/cafe but only to be told that coffee was not available there and was directed to Muddy Waters coffee shop down the street. What? Did I miss something here? No coffee! I am disappointed and surprised and have removed this place from my Go To List of favorites!More

I went several times when they were serving lunch daily and everything I had was very good. Now they only serve a limited menu on Fridays...if history tells me anything, I'm sure it's just as good. They still offer the bakery side of the house...all the time.More

Absolutely adorable and friendly bakery! The blueberry scones and strawberry cupcakes were by far the most delicious!!! Will certainly be back! Forgot to take a photo before enjoying such deliciousness!❤️

While Visiting some friends in the area they recommended this place for brunch because they eat here often. We ordered the Classic and the Fancy along with a pancake for the kids to share. This day must of been a fluke but they seemed to...be out of basic items like butter, syrup, milk, etc. and didn’t seem to worry about the customer service aspect of it. The food was fresh and delicious. If you are not a regular you won’t know about the hidden menu items like the breakfast Reuben so be sure to ask. Cafe has plenty of places to sit inside along with outdoor seating. Also a great location to people watch in the downtown district.More

This cafe has the warmest casual atmosphere, amazingly good food, and great prices. I had a roast beef and roasted pepper and cheese melt sandwich with homemade pickles and a side of a wonderful broccoli salad. Superb!! Everyone else enjoyed their choices as much! We...couldn’t resist their cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies for an unnecessary but delightful desert! Thank you Flour Girls!More

I recently stayed in Elizabeth City for five days visiting a friend. While she worked during the day, I was on my own for lunch. I found Flour Girls Cafe and Bakery the second day I was there. And I ended up eating at Flour...Girls four days because it was that good! I had a wonderful chocolate chip cookie and there were so many good baked goods I didn't have a chance to try! I ate sandwiches and salads for lunch and they were all fresh and good. The service was friendly and hospitable. Once you find Flour Girls, you don't need to look any further!More

We didn't know where we were going but we knew we were hungry. We saw an awning that said cafe and bakery and a nearby parking space so we decided to give it a try. I guess the locals know more than we did because...the place was fairly busy. From a fairly large sandwich menu my wife and I both ordered a version of a roast beef sandwich - mine warm on a pretzel roll and hers cold on crusty bread. Both delicious and served with potato salad and homemade pickles. The place is two old stores combined into one space with eclectic furnishings. Very clean including the restrooms. If we're ever back in Elizabeth City, we will be back.More

Lovely place for lunch. Great customer service. There was only one girl at the front and she was amazing at taking orders on the phone, checking on customers and greeting us. We were recommended shrimp wraps that was fresh and delicious. Nice touch on house...pickles. Highly recommended and definitely coming back.More

This is the scone time I have eaten here. Both times were excellent. Their sandwiches are made with home baked bread and are made fresh. I have also had a salad made with spinach, pecans, goat cheese, pear and chicken. The salad was very generous with cheese,...pecans and pear. It was definitely tasty and filling. They also have baked goods. There apple turnovers are delicious! I will definitely eat here again and plan to take any visitors there also.More
