They have a good variety of choice entrees, salads and appetizers. The waiters are very nice and the owner is usually there to greet you.

Melo Trattoria is one of my "go to" places for dinner. It is close to where I live. My wife loves it. They offer a consistency and quality that is amazing with service that is hard to beat. Last week I opted for lunch and to my surprise, I couldn't believe how much food came for lunch at an amazing... More

Melo Trattoria & Tapas is apparently a family run restaurant at the end of a strip center (Croasdaile Commons) on the outskirts of Durham, NC. Based on the menu, I would call it a fusion of Italian and Spanish cuisines. My wife and I stopped there for dinner on a Monday evening around 7:30. When you walk in it has... More

This is one of the few restaurants in north Durham and is better than some. It is a comfortable place and popular with local residents. There is outdoor, seating available. The food is average. The wines are a bit expensive for the so-so quality.

Melo's is top notch in every way. They serve Delicious cuisine made fresh to order, have the best chicken wrap I've found and the friendliest staff. I have gotten used to eating here for business lunches and take out since my office is so close and it's my own Cheers atmosphere. I've taken many people here from all walks of... More

Quaint restaurant and great service. But the menu was small and the food was fair. Nothing was special about any of the dishes we had and I could have probably done better cooking at home.

Melo Trattoria is one of my favorite dinner spots in town. The food is at least above average and it has a nice low-key atmosphere. The only reason I don't eat here more often is that I feel as though it's more expensive than it ought to be.

I have now been to this restaurant for dinner twice. The first time was with a large group, so I give the restaurant some slack when dealing with large groups. I thought my food the first time was just OK...not bad, but nothing so wonderful that I would run to come back there again. The first time I had gotten... More

We were staying at a close-by hotel and the staff recommended Melo's for dinner. What a great find for two weary travelers. Sure, the service and atmosphere were great and the prices were reasonable but the best part was the food. We enjoy tapas-style dining and this was some of the best we have had domestically. We sampled four different... More

Excellent atmosphere and delightful flavor in the lasagna dish I had. As for the book about Rome "then and now" if you're sitting alone. Very interesting read and lots of photos.
