The food was good but the bartender seemed to enjoy negatively talking about one of the prior guests. I think they should focus on providing good service and making drinks that aren’t leaking down the sides of the cups. The food was good for the portion size and price.

It’s been months since we’ve been back, and we saw many new faces, but the ambience, wonderful cocktails, and delicious dinners are still in place! Started with The First Word, olives, oysters, then moved into the salmon and absolutely delicious vegetarian risotto! Cheers!

Small, intimate and eclectic with great service and delicious, well prepared food. When we arrived with our reservations, there wasn't room inside but they have an outside seating area with quick service. When a table was available they moved us inside. Loved the place

Stopped by for drinks. Good service, friendly people. Drinks were decidedly meh.
Got the “Duck Hunt” where the menu says “Duck Fat washed bourbon”. Sitting at the bar, I was able to watch him make our drinks. It was Wild Turkey 100. Was hoping for more.

One of us received our drink.
The other waited another 20 minutes.
For the wrong drink to arrive.
Our food never arrived.
And then they said the would “comp” our food?
Exceptionally poor service and experience.

We tried the small plates - Cheese Mac n' Cheese with Bacon, Chive, Bread Crumb, fries and Brussels sprites and they were delicious.
This place has a New Orleans ambience and the bar has a wide selection of drinks .
It’s in Durham downtown and good place to grab a cocktail and quality food

We stopped by here on our way to dinner and we were very pleasantly surprised. The drink we had had peaches in it and balsamic, something I never would have thought of. But oh my it was so delicious we had to have another. The bartender was a true artist, as he took time to make the drink perfectly.

Most caprese salads have a tomato slice with a piece of mozzarella and basil on top. This was halved cherry tomatoes of various colors that had been grilled. It had burrata cheese and greens with it as well. I have never had a warm caprese before, and this one knocked it out of the park. The flavors and colors were outstanding.
The pork chop was cooked perfectly - it was thick and juicy. The grilled pineapple on top added a sweetness that was amazing. My dining companion had the Hanger Steak Frites that was seasoned well and cooked exactly as asked. The fries were thin and crispy.
And, as always, an Amaretto Sour that is the best in the area.

We stopped in for a celebratory drink after our son getting into Duke Law. The bartender was very interesting and professional. He made several unique drinks. The bar was cozy and comfortable. It was fun to watch him make drinks you can't get anywhere else.

Excellent establishment for quality cocktails and a meal. Small , but quick, unless you want a beer. Emphasis is on the cocktails, so bartenders spend more time on making those and they do an excellent job. If you're a beer drinker, you'll wait a bit.

A cozy speakeasy bar/restaurant. We were there for cocktails only this time, but have eaten there in the past. A great place for pre-theater dinner. Get there early or expect to wait, but well worth it.
