I went here for a quick takeout lunch. It wasn't all that quick, but I had a decent local beer while I was waiting. There are no drafts here, just bottles. The shrimp pad thai was pretty dead on. The "egg rolls" (aka spring rolls) were crispy, but too peppery inside. The menu had some typos, which would normally bother... More

We love Thai food, have eaten lots in lots of places around the world. The curries here were delicious.... maybe not as authentic as we're used to, but really yummy nonetheless. I do agree that their idea of spicy is dumbed down for typical Americans, our yellow curry had three chilis and tasted like it had no more than one.... More

We rushed from Raleigh to Durham to reach the restaurant before its lunch closing. Everyone in our group of seven was pleased with their selections. I had a chicken salad which was totally different from what I expected, fewer greens and more flavorful meat than I thought. However it was excellent. I will definitely return to this restaurant for lunch... More

The food was very Bland in a strip mall situation, service was reasonable, price for lunch was reasonable, portions not amazing, but it was the lunch menu. Will not be going back.

We love the open, high-ceilinged ambience of Durham's Thai Cafe and the prompt and friendly (without being overly so) service. Most of all we love their beautiful Chicken Massaman, with its chicken slices, avacado, and cashews swimming in a wonderful coconut milk sauce. Heavenly! We recently also tried their lettuce rolls -- a nice change from Spring or Egg Rolls.

Have eaten at the Thai cafe many times now with my girlfriend and her family. I have tried several things on their menu and been satisfied with all of them. I really recommend the pad prik and the pad see ew. My girlfriend love the green curry. Their service can be a little slow at times but their food is... More

We shared dinner with another couple and all of our food was well prepared. One diner has severe food restrictions but was able to enjoy the Coconut soup, the rice and some mansann. The coconut cake was sublime.

We had a small business lunch here. The menu was wonderfully varied and the lunch menu had many items at only $8 and 9, including a side soup or salad. Food was very tasty. Unfortunately the waitress who served us was surly and not pleasant. The ambiance was a bit loud and not good for discussions. But the food was... More

This was my third time here and I really wanted to give it another chance. Here it goes, food is great for those who do not like authentic Thai flavor dishes. It's bland, mild and just plain Americanized, I don't mind tasting the fish sauce in my food and all the spices (hot, salty, creamy, sour). We did have dessert... More

Great simply Great, accompanied 5 other people, started with appetizers of egg roll, basil roll, and crab angels, the each had an entree, ranging from duck, to BBQ chicken, shrimp, veggie, and volcano chicken. Everyone enjoyed and no one left hungry or wanting more. Great job Thai Cafe, great job.
