My wife and I met our son at Elmo's for brunch on a busy Sunday. The place was buzzing as always with a good solid line of people waiting to be seated. We had the complimentary coffee offered to the waiting people, and we were then seated. We ordered different things. My vegetarian omelette, unfortunately, had a few bits of... More

We choose Elmo's for lunch any time we are in the area and are never disappointed. Shepherd's Pie and tomato bisque soup are favorites for me. Breakfasts are also hearty and well prepared. Convivial atmosphere and superb service.

My daughter and I stopped here for dinner after a day of touring universities in the area. We had a relaxing meal - good food in a casual diner atmosphere.

My wife, son, daughter-in-law and I stopped in for dinner. I had the Sheppard Pie which was very good; the roll was not that good. I would recommend trying the cornbread instead because maybe it would taste better. Their fruit desert with ice cream was blueberry and peach on this particular day and it was very good. The peach was... More

My son and I went to tour NCSSM today. After the tour, I asked one of the students to recommend a local restaurant. He quickly replied with Elmos which is about a 1/2 mile from the school. There was a short wait (not necessarily a bad thing) and we opted to sit at the counter. The menu is diverse with... More

Elmo's is a typical diner with good quality and large choice. It is not very nice inside, but I guess it gives you the idea of being in a 'real' place, not just another franchised shop. The choice is very large, and staff is kind. You might have to look for parking and wait to be seated as the place... More

Excellent breakfast menu choices. Friendly staff who try to seat you quickly even with the crowds that love this place. Always worth the wait and usually immediate seating or a 10 min. wait at most. Love the omelets and breakfast burrito. Good coffee with quick refills. Low prices. Staff aims to please and quickly fix any problems with an order.... More

Out with friends after a weekend wedding. Seated at counter which we always enjoy as you get to see the "real" work. All had good food.
