Visited this location for the first time a couple days ago. My husband and I were having a much needed date night, with no kiddos, and we chose to try this location. We normally go to the Melting Pot in Raleigh NC. Durham location was...closer to where we were visiting on this day. I loved the set up of this location, the little cozy, tucked away booths for couples, was nice! It allowed us to have quiet time. The server (Brett) was very attentive, my husband had requested the cocktail sauce, and he was quick to bring it out. Jim, the bartender was also very kind! The drinks he made, the Love Martini was amazing! One of the best mixed drinks I have had in a while!!More

The food is always good at the melting pot but the service tonight was incredibly slow, particularly considering the restaurant was empty almost the entire time my group of 5 was there. We waited increasingly longer times between each course. The server even forgot the...final glass of wine in my flight until we were ready for the check.More

My family and I ate her on a Sunday afternoon. The food was good and the service was fine but we got put at a really crappy table. First i called Saturday to make a reservation as you need one there most of the time....I asked for 1:00 pm and w as told no but that they had a 1:15. so i said ok fine. When we got there we were literally the only ones in the restaurant. Why we were told no to 1:00, i don't know. Second, the table they put us at was cramped booth style in a small room that had a sliding door. This is probably ok most of the time but there is a big window there with no blinds and on a Sunday afternoon the sun was coming through the window made it really uncomfortable. I felt like i was getting sunburn on the back of neck and others needed sun glasses. not to mention people walking by and starring in the window at you. hindsight is 20/20. I should have asked for a different table when they sat us.More

Haven't been to a Melting Pot in a while and first trip to this particular location but it's still a fun (long) evening. Lots of private alcove tables at the Durham location. The menu is what you'd expect from a Melting Pot. Our server could've...been by a bit more often but otherwise no issues.More

The building inside is dark and has a romantic feel to it. My husband had made reservations for us for my Birthday and they sat us in a small, private size booth. It has a curtain to cover and make it more personable, which I...actually loved. The fondue experience is fun and I love to try the different varieties that they offer. The service was great and I enjoyed it but my husband did not have the same experience as I, for a couple reasons. 1. When he made the reservation the day before, he had requested the chocolate covered strawberries. They did not have them for us. It wasn't a complete ruiner of our date, but it was disappointing. 2. The recommended time they tell you to cook the meat is not correct. My husband followed their instructions and was sick not even 15 minutes after we left. I had doubled the cooking time and insisted my husband do the same but he didn't think it was that big of a deal at the time. Now we both know better. May return again for just the chocolate fondue as that is the best part!More

This was our first time at the new location. We've been frequenting the non-chain fondue restaurant in town, but service there has really slipped so we came back to Melting Pot, and weren't disappointed. You can now grill your meat at the table, which is...a great option. Boiling filet mignon never made sense to me, and we always chose the coq au vin option, which at least let you boil it in wine, but they charged you an extra charge for that cooking style. Well, now, not only can you choose the grill at no extra charge, they've eliminated the extra charge for all cooking styles - so dinner's cheaper! Chocolate choices included what used to be premium chocolates at regular prices, so dessert is cheaper, too. Easy to get to this location, lots of parking, our server was efficient and friendly - we'll be back!More

My wife and I stopped by late (9 PM) on Friday night (after my Curling league) for some wine and fondue. We sat at the bar, which we love to do, and had many good conversations with the staff, particularly with Jim, the Bartender, whom...we have known for quite a while. They have recently added a few new fondue options to the menu, so we decided to try Bacon, Mushroom, Alpine. We were not disappointed. The combination was delicious and plentiful. We ordered it for 2 people ($10.45 pp) and cleaned out the entire pan with the veggies and breads they provided. Not a lot of people sit at the bar to have fondue, but everyone should know that they have burners there and it's a great place to eat, unless you are looking for some place romantic where you can smooch with your honey (there was some of that going on in the private rooms the day after Valentine's Day...LOL). Anyway, a great experience always. We would highly recommend visiting The Melting Pot in Durham.More

Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my husband here tonight. Quan was our server. He was attentive but did not hover. Explained all our options to us. Thank you for a nice evening out.

Long time visitors to this branch but on our last visit our waitress wasn’t friendly. The service from the manager was also terrible- rude, clearly needs more lessons in customer service! This restaurant is wayyy too expensive to tolerate terrible attitude/service! We will go to...Little Dippers next time! Much more laid back and cheaper too.More

Celebrated my birthday with my husband and daughter. The food was delicious, the service adequate. Cold coffee and they tossed our leftovers instead of boxing them, but they did give us a discount. Overall, very good meal but not sure worth $200 for three of...us.More
