Vine is always a great stop for really good food. We usually go there for sushi which is the best in the area without paying too much. Friendly staff and a pretty good location. Recommended

After a few peeps recommended stopping buy, my son and I took in a quick bite after a cold, wet and windy lax game. We were not disappointed. Only one in the place at 3:00 but that's okay. Started with some soup to warm the insides. Miso and Tom Yam Shrimp soup were enjoyed. The Tom Yam is very spicy and delicious, I think best I have had... next up the sushi. An easy order of Cali Rolls for the boy and for me, the King Kong roll - tuna, eel, crab, caviar and lots of other goodies... wow!!! Had a local IPA and left satisfied. Definite must and would definitely return.

Based on the recommendation of a colleague, I was excited to check this place out. I visited on a Friday for lunch. The dinning room was quiet, half empty and lacked energy. I quickly selected two interesting sounding rolls and waited for them to find the sushi chef. The service was adequate but disengaged or distracted. One of the rolls was wrapped in pink parchment of some sort. I've never seen this and to be honest, it didn't really have any flavor. In fact, neither of the rolls had much flavor and the rice seemed dry. Also, I'm not sure if they make smaller rolls for lunch given that they were BOGO, but these are the smallest rolls I have ever been served. The fish at least was fresh but overall, I'm going to keep searching for better options.

Great spot in the Triangle for sushi in general. Reasonable prices. Family run so really is a place to support.

I ordered the green curry for take-out and couldn’t eat it. It has a strange taste that I just could not stomach. The tofu and vegetables seem to have a more sour flavor that did not go with curry. Very disappointed.

Stopped here recently for sushi and a bento box take-out. Really a pretty solid meal - always surprised at how much food the bento boxes offer for a reasonable price, seems like more than half of it remains as leftovers any time I go that route. Reasonable prices, nice diversity of sushi offerings, and solid bento box. Would try again!

This is a place I've visited off and on for years, and I really love the selection and variety. They've got sushi, fish dishes, chicken, tofu, salads, soups, etc. And I'm no curry professional, but the Masaman curry at Vine is lip-smacking delicious! Lunch is the best deal, in my opinion, as you can get an entrée with white or brown rice, and choice of soup or salad. (the salad dressing is great!) On my last visit, I ordered a Peanut Avocado sushi roll, and that was a strange combo, but oh so good! They've got all sorts of sushi rolls or vegetable rolls that I highly suggest trying!
As I have not been a regular patron of Vine, I can't vouch for the consistency of the food, but every time I have been, the food has been delicious, and I've cleaned my plate! Service has been helpful with menu questions, and with attentiveness. The nighttime vibe here is a bit quieter and nicer, so I wouldn't recommend bringing little kids, if you can help it. We visited once with our toddler, and could hardly enjoy the meal for trying to keep him quiet and contained!
Overall, Vine is a unique restaurant that's affordable, and one that I hope to visit more often!

Having dined here twice, I'm not impressed. First time the meal was acceptable but not great. The second visit there were only patrons at two or three tables and the service was very slow. With so many choices in Durham, we've decided not to choose them again.

Was overwhelmed by the section of sushi rolls. Enjoyed spring rolls and spicy crab roll for appetizers. Since it was our first visit two appetizers was a mistake as the serving size of our mains was very generous. The decor was as pleasant surprise. Waitress was very helpful. Can't go wrong dining here.

Had the sushi lunch, quite a lot of food but not very tasty. It was bland, the soy sauce was watered down and it came with a tiny blob of wasabi. Eh, just OK.

I am in town from Minneapolis. The hotel staff raved about vine so I tried it out for dinner. I called ahead and ordered take out. When I arrived, they had "lost my order," but the pad of paper with my order on it was on the front desk. The lady at the front desk was super nice and got the order in right away. It took about five minutes for my food to be ready.
The pad thai came with soup or salad. I chose the miso soup and it was terrible. There was barely any tofu in the soup and it didn't have any flavor. The pad thai was very, very bland with no spice. I ordered the veggie pad thai. It was packed with fresh veggies, but just didn't have any taste to it.
I do not recommend Vine Sushi & Thai.

Some of the best sushi in Durham. It might not be grade A fresh off the boat but it is seriously good and for the price it can't be beaten in the triangle so far as I have found. Also have really good hibachi dishes. I like everything I have had there but go mainly for the sushi.

Cant beat it anywhere. They have a buy one get one free, and its just not a single roll cut in half, actually two sushi rolls, Keep your fingers crossed it is standing room only on Friday nights.
