I had the salad with fried chicken which was great, but everyone else had the pulled pork sandwich… I wish I got that since it was amazing! Pulled pork on greasy toast with a thin fried chicken patty. I had a flight of 5 different...IPAs which I rated as high as 4 out of 5 on Untapped. The best beers were Complicated and Double IPA. Service was excellent. The interior is gentrified industrial. Outdoor seating on picnic tables is available but not much of a view.More

Definitely more college/hippie vibe here. Focus on the beers. The pimento grilled cheese was good. The ribs were disappointing. 3 ribs for $12 that were mostly bone, little meat. We did enjoy the beers. The blueberry IPA was a nice change of pace. To be...fair, we were looking for a dinner place, and this is more of a brewery that sells some food. Lots of fun restaurants on the block.More

Stopped in for lunch here with a friend in June and was overall pretty pleased! The entrance was pretty confusing at the time and had a bunch of information up that we needed to download an app, etc. - yet when we arrived at the...bar they said we could ignore it and just order directly through them. Not sure if that was vestiges of more firm shut-down days, or what. I got a flight of beers and overall haven't found any beers I particularly like here. I got a fried chicken sandwich that was pretty good, but nothing standout. Have to drop a second star for no longer being pet friendly, as that was previously one of the only reasons to go. I wouldn't come back here often or at all, given the changes.More

I love the selection of beers! As a non-ipa drinker. Enjoyed the sweet potato lager but the stouts were surprising too. Dan liked the IPA, easy drinking. Food was great! Grilled cheese, stop my heart. Pickled shrimp s’wich was good too.

First off I must tell you I have been coming to Fullsteam since day 3 of the opening over nine years ago. For some five years I was here every Tues and Fri. And any other day during the week I could find an excuse...to travel the 20+ miles from my home to lift a pint here. The owner did a great job of always having local food trucks provide food. He then added a small kitchen with apps and small plates. Four years ago I loved to Atlanta and have missed not only the place and beer, but the evolution of the food. Today, I was able to return and once again not only experience the great beer and service, but also the progression of the food. I have just enjoyed and outstanding cheese burger. No, I mean really good burger along with my favorite Rocket Science IPA. Wow! If you are in, or within driving distance of Fullsteam don't miss a visit. You will regret that.More

Visited several microbreweries in Durham. The beer was good and the service friendly. I would not hesitate to go again and I am sure I will. We had to catch a train so our stay was somewhat short (easy walk to the train station). Will...be back!More

Interesting venue. Loved the card catalogs decorating the place. I'm guessing most younger folks wont know what these are. The beer was mediocre at best.

Friendly place to take in a flight. Ate dinner next door at a bbq place (don't get the meatloaf) and watched the game. Perfect.

This is a very unusual restaurant that seems to be having growing pains. The food sounds very odd on the menu, but tastes wonderful when you eat it.If this place can invest money in improving its furnishings and increase the menu to full meals, it...would be great!More

This might be confusing since Tripadvisor seems to have this place listed both as a restaurant (which it is now that they offer food) and as an attraction. This is a very open and friendly brewpub with lots of activities like game night, comedy shows,...popup markets, lectures, yoga, a running club, etc. They also have tours of the brewer on the weekends. Note that the beers are unique and made with local ingredients as much as possible. That means they are hit or miss and not your typical beer styles that most brewpubs try to emulate. People bring their families and dogs here, so keep that in mind as well. It's become something of an institution and a great Durham hangout.More

Nice place to hang out and have a flight (or two). Friendly bar staff and a good selection of beers (though could balance off the large amount of IPAs a bit). Would happily return!More

Thanks so much! I think you caught some of the "Fellowship of the Haze," where we featured a large number of New England-style IPAs -- both our own and guest taps. Hope to see you again...we should have a good balance of beers for ya!...More

Went to Fullsteam brewery with the family. Not overly crowded with the exception of the bar area which was full due to the hot weather. There is a large sitting area adjacent to the bar with fans that has plenty of seating. The beer selection...is very good and the quality is above average. Working Mans Lunch is very good and Beasley's is exceptional and it's right next door to The Pit BBQ.More
