First let me say if I was just rating the people working in there it would have been a 5 star rating. Our server, Clarence, was awesome and friendly. We made each other laugh a few times. My first impression inside was not that great. They only have one wall with comfortable booths (all taken when we arrived) and the... More

I'm I here on a Friday night (Jul 8) for dinner, drinks and live jazz, "The DexBass Experience". All my expectations were exceeded! Kudos to the chef and staff for an excellent pre-show dinner. The bar serves the best Hendrix Gin and Tonic! Our server, Caleb, was very attentive-we wanted for nothing! Let me just say "The DexBass Experience" is... More

We had a very nice late breakfast here on a weekday. The waitress was energetic but not annoyingly so and paid attention to us throughout. The breakfast burrito was flavorful and fresh. The small vegetable plate was plain but good enough. The salmon was, indeed, grilled (not fake grilled). Excellent coffee as well. Will return! Oh, their new location a... More

An amazing place for lunch. Stopped in based on a recommendation from a friend. I had the Chicken Mclovin sandwich with the caesar salad instead of fries. Hands down it was one of the best lunches I've had in the downtown area. So reasonably priced too!

We had 5:30 pm reservations as we had 8:00 tickets to a Carolina Theater performance. I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, it was a generous portion, moist and flavorful with crisp charred green beans and potatoes.

This restaurant has such a great atmosphere and is a wonderful little mini escape at lunchtime. They have great espresso options and the staff is very friendly and attentive.

Nice little cafe on Main St, not too far from Duke East campus. Wide selection of coffees, warm service and attention. Desserts look inviting, brunch menu also is appealing. We only had coffee.

Our party of 8 went to Beyu for breakfast by default but we agreed it was truly an excellent choice! The atmosphere was one of an old time jazz cafe and we appreciated the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. We arrived around 10 and were promptly seated. Our order consisted of a mix of traditional and specialty coffees, Jazzy... More

My wife and I had brunch here. The Jazz was fine and the place seemed nice enough. The staff were nice too. But the food was seriously lacking. Her shrimp and grits with sausage was horrible. 4 shrimp and 2 pieces of sausage with some fairly watery grits. My French toast breakfast was ok but I could hardly tell the... More

My wife and I had lunch at the Beyu Caffe and it was very good. I had breakfast with French Toast, eggs, over cooked sausage and coffee. Unfortunately a refill for a cup of coffee cost extra which I thought was inappropriate since the cost of the food was not inexpensive. Not sure why they were charging for it.
