My son and I are in Durham for treatment at the Duke Medical Center. Got in the night before his appointment and decided to have a nice dinner. Someone recommended Dos Perros as "high end Mexican'". The restaurant is attractive and located in what appears to be a part of town that attracts students and young professionals. The staff was... More

My husband works downtown and goes to Dos Perros on a regular basis for lunch. I had the chance to have lunch with him and had my first visit to this restaurant. Props to the service. The waitstaff recognized my husband as a regular and were attentive, but also seem to have mastered the art of having every waiter able... More

An excellent meal all around. The menu is very interesting with lots of dishes involving lots of meats, plus a great cocktail list (though the drinks are a bit pricey). I had a goat cheese stuffed chicken with mole sauce that was absolutely delicious, one of the best Mexican entrees I've ever had. Also, service was impeccable. I'll gladly be... More

This was my first visit at Dos Perros, and it was great. The martini I ordered was perfect and the service was fast and friendly. It was a Sunday night, so it was taco night. The barbacoa taco and chicken tinga taco were both excellent. There was so much flavor in the tacos. I'm looking forward to going back!

I've eaten at this restaurant three times, mainly because of the accolades it receives. However, I have yet to order a meal that I enjoyed beyond "it was OK." Perhaps I haven't ordered the right things.

This restaurant was highly recommended to us by a friend and it lived up to what they said about it. Not a hugely extensive menu, but full of flavorful ingredients, high quality meats, reasonable prices -- all an order of magnitude (or several!) better than your standard "cheap Mexican" fare. A "tequila list" with at least two dozen different selections.... More

I have been here twice for lunch, both times with large groups so know they can accommodate your party no matter what size 12 then 7). The food is always on point and the margaritas aren't too shabby either. Have yet to try them for dinner but I would expect the same quality if not more than their lunch faire.... More

I've never had a bad dish at Dos Perros! I recommend it to friends and bring out of town guests here. I love their taco night on Sunday before DPAC. Their margaritas are delicious and the guacomole is fresh and not over done. It is a bit small so reservations are best.

We had dined at Dos Perros before and were very impressed with the quality and sophistication of the Mexican food. In May, we held a dinner in the "party room" for my daughter's college graduation celebration. The guests were varied - college-age to elderly - and Dos Perros was perfect! The servers and staff could not have been more helpful... More

Interesting menu and very tasty. At least the dinner menu is very sophisticated and you'll be disappointed if you're looking for tacos and burritos. I believe the lunch menu has more casual items.
