A group of us had dinner at Dos Perros before an evening show at DPAC. The location is terrific. We were very happy with the choice. Food was good(Pork Carnitas had great flavor!) though the menu was a bit limited. A bit pricey for Mexican but I guess you pay for the experience.

Not a "normal" southern Mexican restaurant. Good food, but a bit too frou frou for the flavor actually provided. Need to focus more on their basics. ProTip: Go on Sunday which is taco night, totally worth it.

Excellent place with very good, reasonably priced mexican food - I am vegan and it is easy to accommodate those needs. Drinks are yummy too; service is about 4-5/10 but the rest I would give an 8

4 star service, 5 star drinks, 3.5 star food, 4.5 overall experience. The food is good fare. Its a great spot for both lunch and dinner. They don't rush you, the drinks are great, the service is always top notch, the al fresco dining is wonderful as well. The only reason I give the food 3.5 stars is bc of... More

Had lunch here on a Saturday and found it an all-around 'great experience.' I had the Barbacoa (braised beef) burrito and it was delicious. Definitely well-sized, enough for a hearty lunch, to share or to take some home with you. I shared a few bites w/my friend but pretty much ate the whole thing. The beauty of it is not... More

I'm not a huge Mexican food fan, but my son is so we kind of went here on a whim yesterday (Saturday) around 1 PM. Not very crowded, the servers were as Caucasian as could be -- how good could this be? The answer: very good. My son loved his tinga de pollo platter, and my Tostado de Camarones was... More

My son and I are in Durham for treatment at the Duke Medical Center. Got in the night before his appointment and decided to have a nice dinner. Someone recommended Dos Perros as "high end Mexican'". The restaurant is attractive and located in what appears to be a part of town that attracts students and young professionals. The staff was... More

My husband works downtown and goes to Dos Perros on a regular basis for lunch. I had the chance to have lunch with him and had my first visit to this restaurant. Props to the service. The waitstaff recognized my husband as a regular and were attentive, but also seem to have mastered the art of having every waiter able... More

An excellent meal all around. The menu is very interesting with lots of dishes involving lots of meats, plus a great cocktail list (though the drinks are a bit pricey). I had a goat cheese stuffed chicken with mole sauce that was absolutely delicious, one of the best Mexican entrees I've ever had. Also, service was impeccable. I'll gladly be... More

This was my first visit at Dos Perros, and it was great. The martini I ordered was perfect and the service was fast and friendly. It was a Sunday night, so it was taco night. The barbacoa taco and chicken tinga taco were both excellent. There was so much flavor in the tacos. I'm looking forward to going back!
