Dunn, NC is a halfway overnight stop when we travel from Florida to Philadelphia. Having this gem of a restaurant right off the I 95 exit was a real reason to choose this as the spot to stay. But, now the Brass Lantern has actually become a place we look forward to having dinner at and we try to work... More

A clean friendly restaurant. Pleasantly surprised since Dunn doesn't have a huge selection. Right next door to Fairfield Inn. I had grilled chicken and French fries. My husband had a rib eye with vegetables. Both meals were not fast food, but cooked well .... French fries were crisp on outside and soft potato on inside just the way I like... More

Visited the restaurant o a Tuesday night based on the recommendation of the staff at the hotel I am staying at this evening. I arrive at the restaurant at 6:45 where the special is Prime Rib for two for 39.99. (Check the website for specials) I order prime rib dinner for 1 and after 20 minutes after hearing from another... Ben and Mrs Too stopped at Brass Lantern for the second time on our way to Florida. It absolutely could not be more convenient for travelers on I-95, which, along with ample free parking and close proximity to several commodious hostelries, adds up to a great spot to call it a night. Ben had mistakenly believed that Brass Lantern offered... More

this is an established classic restaurant. large enough for events. more than one salad bar to handle all the diners. the portions were so large, there was no room for dessert. I bet it was awesome. the prime rib was cooked to perfection and is their specialty. Our server was a delightful southern gal, it was great to be back... More

We stumbled on it since we were staying in a nearby motel (Comfort Inn). It is what you expect from a good steak house. A variety of dishes, generally well-prepared, and reasonably priced. The Salad bar was very good. One criticism was the lack of choices of sides. All great steak houses offer steamed broccoli and other greens. Service was... More

We stayed at the Fairfield which is about 100 yards from this restaurant. The food and service was very good. My wife had a filet and I had a meat platter. This was not a fast food type of place. It had table clothes and a nice ambiance. It is an especially good choice if you are staying at the... More

We went to the Brass Lantern at the recommendation of the Fairfield inn staff next door. Hotel guests receive a 10% discount; the prime rib was excellent and the servings large enough with plenty to take home; suggest the twice baked potato and mixed vegetables to go with the beef; Waitstaff was attentive and very pleasant. Excellent experience

We went to Brass Lantern Saturday, February 11th for a going away dinner with some close friends. The food (Prime Rib) was excellent as it is every time I've been there but I am left with a bitter taste in my mouth over the Tip. Unbenounced to us a tip of 15% was automatically added to the check. My husband's... More
