My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant a few times. During our last visits there has not been many people eating here. I can understand because the seafood is lousy. Shrimp is mushy and the flounder pieces are thin and tasteless. We decided after our last visit that "not again". OK salad bar.

Well the restaurant is clean and nice, the food quality was a bit disappointing. Mostly fried items and mediocre portions for the price. Not a bad place, just not competitive with the other options in the area.

Food was good and so was the price but definitely catered to the senior crowd. I had the steak and fried shrimp. Thin steak and easy to over-cook.

Ordered broiled scallops. They were more like scallop coins. The slices were about 1/3" then seasoned and broiled. Too done, some were chewy, not succulent and yummy like a full size scallop. BF enjoyed his fried fish. Salad bar is very basic. Service was good. They don't serve real butter for the baked potatoes, it tasted funny, no flavor.

We enjoy Captain's Cap about once a month, often as take out. They advertise as a family fish camp and they are always busy. They have a drive up window in the back of the building for picking up take-out, which is a unique feature. This is one of the locations and has been in business since 1981. We're not... More

The older crowd must enjoy this place as there appears to be a line at the very early dinner hour. We ate shrimp which was ok.

For a good old fashioned fish fry, this place has a wide variety of seafood prepared fried, broiled. or grilled at very nice prices. The breading on the fish is light and not greasy or overdone. Lots of fish and fishing related pictures on the walls. No alcohol served but the food is good enough not to deter you. Lots... More

Service was exceptional. Seafood was excellent. One of us had the sirloin tips. Weren't exactly tips, more like strips. Was more than he could eat. Good salad bar. Would like to see some type of meat on the salad bar.

Thank Danny W
