We hadn’t been to Chillfire in ages. Happy to discover the food quality, warm atmosphere in the cozy area (avoid the back room seating - very sterile), service were all terrific. Amanda took care of us. We had handheld chicken sandwich and short ribs. Generous...pours of wine. Excellent experience.More

Based on the overwhelming positive reviews on Google, we ditched our normal birthday spot to try Chillfire Grill. Our first impression was good, our server Lexi was amazing and honestly the only reason we even gave it 2 stars. We ordered some artisan bread and...oysters Rockefeller and they were both good. Our main courses were anything but…. We noticed they didn’t use chicken breast in any dish but only boneless thighs. We thought since it’s what they used, they would take the time to prep it correctly and remove the cartilage and the majority of the fat. They don’t! The two people in our party who ordered chicken couldn’t even eat it because it was so fatty and chewy. The steaks were better, but both were way undercooked. Medium isn’t bluish/purple and cool inside. The trout was terrible and also wasn’t eaten. Sides were hit or miss…. The risotto was very sticky. Baked and mashed potatoes were okay. The kale salad had no mention of crushed red pepper in the description but had a ton of heat. My wife couldn’t even eat it. Unfortunately, even the cheesecake was forgettable. No sauce, no nuts just bland cheesecake. Overall, a huge dud for us. Once was enough for us.More

We are new to the area & were looking for a fine dining experience. Sadly that is not what we found at Chilfire. We both ordered the same dinner…three cheese onion soup, filet & baked potato…pretty easy dinners to prepare. Only 1 soup came out...initially (waiter didn’t realize we each wanted soup) & it was barely warm with cheese melted but hardened. We sent that back & my husbands soup came out exactly the same. Sent that back as well! After about 15 min finally got 2 new soups that were hot & very good. Steak was delicious but baked potatoes were also only warm & tasted as though they had been sitting out for a long time. Kitchen service was very slow but I know that d/t COVID help is hard to find so would be more than willing to wait if food had been prepared better & served hot. Not sure we will go back.More

Pretty good food, although on the pricey side. Attentive servers. Specials one would think they would be a "special" price, but are almost always more than what the menu advertises. A couple can easily spend $70 without thinking.

We are new to the area. Only a month. April 1 ( yes, April Fools Day) is our anniversary. Asked around where to go that was special. Chillfire came up in many conversations. Made an early reservation for 6 pm. Surprisingly busy for that time....(and they continued being busy) Got our table immediately. Server came over immediately. Food came out in a timely manner. OK Great Atmosphere. GREAT Service. GREAT FOOD. Everyone was right. They all knew and now so do you. Enjoy. PS: When the manager found out it was our Anniversary he gave us an envelope. I figured it was a discount for a future visit ( that would have been nice) but it was something more thoughtful. It was a hand made seed pack. Plant it and watch the herbs grow. WOW Loved it.More

With a reservation we were seated a few minutes before our time. Food was very good and served hot. I especially liked my filet mignon, it is always perfect. Service was very attentive. Our daughter gave the “thumbs up sign” on her prime rib. We...will definitely be back.More

Last 3 times we have had reservations, including last night 12/31, we have been seated in the outdoor area. Not sure why, with reservations, we do not get indoor seating. A group of walk-ins were seated inside as we were waiting with reservations. ?? Not...very happy with the recent experiences.More

Came here with our sister-in-law for the Sunday Brunch. She had been here a few times and said it was "great"! Hubby ordered the Eggs Benedict Oscar, and it came cold and the eggs were overdone. I ordered the Chillfire Plate, and requested my eggs...be soft poached, and to please add a biscuit. What I received were two eggs, poached, but hard, and not to my liking. The biscuits were hard and cold, and did not come with any jam. Sorry to say I did ask our server for two more eggs, this time soft poached. The manager was very kind and he brought the eggs out, and they were correct but still very cold. We weren't too far away from the kitchen, and we were not only ones in the restaurant, save for two other couples. I do not understand why our food was so cold. We probably should have said something but up to that time with the mistaken "soft" versus "hard" poached, we just resigned ourselves to get brunch over with. Our server, Addisyn, was a dear and we did not want to bother her. Sadly if this is what is offered, then we will happily pass!More

Chillfire did not strongly promote mask guidelines and social distancing the night we were there. At the beginning of the pandemic, things were better but the situation has declined. Our party wore masks as we walked into and out of the restaurant, but none of...the patrons that we passed on our way in our out of the restaurant had masks on. The servers and staff do still wear masks (thank goodness), but they do not strongly encourage masks wearing by patrons. My friend and I went to the restroom at one point and the other ladies we encountered in there were not wearing masks. When we left the restroom to return to our seats, we were heckled by bar patrons who were not wearing masks. (The bar area was not social distanced either.) The group that heckled us asked why we were wearing masks because they said masks didn’t do any good. No one that worked at the restaurant came to our rescue. Needless to say, I no longer feel comfortable eating at Chillfire for these reasons and unfortunately we will not be returning to Chillfire as I do not feel the restaurant takes the CDC guidelines seriously. I only gave this review two stars because most of the food was still good, but in the time of a pandemic, safety supersedes the taste of the food.More

The first time I ate here, I was wowed and my review reflected that. I now live here and have dined here 3 other times, including a special birthday dinner for my son. I didn't review the second time since I was less than wowed...but waited until I had several meals there. I am not sure what has changed but I have found the service to be rude and less than friendly and have not enjoyed my meals nearly as much as the first time. I will probably go back but not with guests because it has been inconsistent for me.More

Fairly decent offerings. They do "nickel and dime" you for a lot of items. I mean, who charges for bread service? And $4.50 at that? Would be nice if the servers were a bit more attentive....

I was a big fan of the brunch buffet with small plates included but WOW! am I ever impressed with the changed brunch menu. It's a full service plated menu. A server explained that they had to change because of people's perception of buffet service...and Kudos to ChillFire! They have Prime Rib and eggs, Crabmeat benedict, glazed salmon, omelets, a breakfast burger, chicken and biscuits and my favorite - shrimp and grits! I felt like I was in a 4 star hotel in a large city...Service is prompt and they still have $5 mimosas in a wine glass!More

First time at Chillfire. We will be back, too many delicious choices on the menu. We tried something from every category. Cheesy bread appetizer is rich and tasty. Salad was fresh , Rib eye was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. Baby back ribs were tender....Had the Coconut cake for dessert, moist and delicious. Our server Dominic was prompt, courteous and not over bearing. The reason for four stars and not five. I had made the reservation with a note that we were celebrating our Anniversary and they did not acknowledge the event. Dessert slice could be a bit more large for the price. overall we enjoyed the atmosphere and will be back again!More

Sure...this is lake country in August. But I'd add a shirt with a collar (Polo type)--not a ratty old tee shirt with holes. ;Have a great meal...fabulous prime rib, BTWW
