There was a lot of meat offered with the pork and ribs meals. Just a note that the chicken was on the bone. But it fell off very easily. BBQ sauce was nicely seasoned with a slight kick. We had almost all of the sides. They were all very good, especially the coleslaw. Corn bread was fantastic. Food was ready... More

We were disappointed after hearing good things about this little take out place. It is a favorite of the locals I was told. No hush puppies, the servings were smallish (which doesn't really bother me)and my husband was still hungry after eating. The cole slaw was AWFUL! really the worst I've ever had. The beans were great and the ribs... More

Like many, we have a three-generation houseful while at Corolla. We do some splitting up of meal responsibilities, and we grands are delighted to offer our kids a night off to go out while we stay with the kids. Secret: the kids are so exhausted after a full day outdoors with boogie boards and bikes and more that the evenings... More

Picked up a whole barbecue chicken today and you could maybe have 5 ounces of chicken from it. Could maybe feed 2 for $10.00. Don't buy it! You can get rotisserie chicken at Food Lion or Harris Teeter for half the price and four times the amount of chicken.

We wanted some great Carolina bbq for our to family - we weren't disappointed. The bbq pork was not dried out and the sauce was awesome. The cornbread was fantastic. It was too hot to sit outside, so this was a perfect carry out option. The staff was very helpful, too.

Visited here on a hot simmer day for lunch. Super authentic and tasty. They had plain chicken for the kids which was nice. Outdoor picnic seating under a great tree. Counter service only.

This place is right near the Corolla Wild Horse Foundation museum and within a short walk of the Lighthouse. Well worth it. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are picnic tables outside - no seating inside. There are 1/2 and 1/4 chickens, which we didn't try, and the pork. Combos with cornbread and 2 sides are available. Then there's a... More

Stopped in after visiting the lighthouse. Great bbq! Even my very picky 11 year old ( who is not a big meat eater) loved it! Our family tried the 1/4 chicken and pulled pork meal. Both were really good! Great selection of sauces. The cornbread was some of the best I have ever had! We'll make sure to add this... More

Stopped here after the wild horse tour cuz Roy said the ribs were the best around! I got the ribs and the other sibs got the pulled pork sammies. I got the tater salad & baked beans and they were good. The ribs were pretty good, too. The sibs liked their pulled pork...one not too pumped over the BBQ sauce...she... More
