We wanted a late lunch, but we're not really up for breakfast type good, so we sat on the lovely covered patio, had a few drinks and then ordered lunch. My wife ordered the meatloaf and I had the shepherds pie. Both were wonderful. Caitlyn was a great waitress, always aware but not intrusive. The $5 Bloody Mary was pretty... More

Had a great pre-concert meal here the other day. We arrived right after opening (at 4pm) and had a great meal taking advantage of the half-priced appetizer promotion they were running. Servings were a little on the large side (which isn't a bad thing!), and everything was really amazing. Serving staff was super friendly as well and I would definitely... More

We checked in to a nearby hotel on our way to Hilton Head and decided to try the Galway Hooker because it was in walking distance. The food was decent - the service was great. Besides, we were intrigued by he name!

A beautiful pub highlighted by a warm friendly atmosphere. Being a lad whom likes his Irish grub a few more items on the menu would have been nice. That includes some appetizers & soups ....but none were to be found. However, the Corned Beef & Cabbage was very tasty and the bread putting just put me to very the top.... More

We enjoyed a spur-of-the-moment dinner with family on a busy Saturday evening, and have found a new go-to place in Huntersville. We’d looked at Galway Hooker previously as an Irish Pub featuring beers and bar foods, but found the dinner menu to be varied and a restaurant of consideration for a night out anytime. Our kids enjoyed standard fare from... More

Met a friend at Galway Hooker Irish Pub...first time visit for both of us. It was a very pleasant evening so we opted to dine out on the patio. Our server, Jenna, was very efficient, professional and personable. We both had a 'traditional' Irish dinner - mine - bangers and mash with a side a wonderful greens beans, a bit... More

This edition of Excited about Eating takes us to Cornelius, NC and to Galway Hooker, an Irish Pub named for Galway Bay in Ireland. Dora here. Actually, the entire pub was deconstructed and shipped from Ireland. Cool, huh? And it fits so well in this mixed use neighborhood. We visited on a Sunday for brunch. By the time we left,... More

Stopped in on the advise of Trip Advisor. Excellent service right away. Nice crowd at the bar. 1/2 price apps until 6. We had the buffalo shrimp and the Irish Egg Roll. Delicious. We were full but after hearing about some of the other food my husband had the open faced meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes and sauté spinach. I... More

We have always had great meals but Easter brunch was disappointing. For the price, the prime rib table was very good but the rest of the food was limited. We were there early in the day and many selections were cold and dried out. We were looking forward to their fantastic bread pudding, but most disappointing, it wasn't offered.

Kathy - Thank you for the review and i want to personally apologize for your less than satisfying experience at the restaurant. We pride ourselves on touching each and every customer correctly and on these days where it gets to be tremendously busy, its difficult to do that. However, when i get to actually reach someone that is not 100%,... More

A great Irish Pub, great decor, service and food good, great beer selection. I had the corned beef & cabbage, I've had better, the corned beef was shredded and not much of it but was flavorful. My wife's corned beef Rueben was good, the Irish egg Roll Appetizer was the best thing we tried.
