Needed quick dinner so tried Mountain View. Unassuming counter service with limited menu of BBQ and sides. Friendly service, very fast turn around time from ordering to food being delivered to the table, great portions for the price. The hot BBQ sauce was good spice level, the small salad and dressing was nice accompaniment. The homemade chips were yummy! Recommend for good fast dinner!

My wife and I visited Mountain View BBQ & Deli for the first time yesterday (18 Oct 22). We stood in line to place our order and pay for it, After getting our drinks we sat down at a table and waited. The place was busy so we thought we'd be there a while. Our order consisted of a Beef Brisket plate with Mountain Chips and Pasta salad with Garlic Toast. The second order was for a Burnt Ends palate with mountain chips, Cole slaw, and garlic toast. We also ordered as a side Corn Diggers. We received the corn diggers first. The diggers were fired to perfection, however, the down side was they lacked any exploding flavors. I can see why they give you honey butter for the corn diggers. The diggers are a carrier for the honey butter. We were slightly disappointed the corn diggers couldn't stand on their own. The same was true for the pasta salad. My wife was a little disappointed as the salad was average or maybe a little less than average. Those were the low points of the visit. The Cole slaw was good, there was no liquid floating around and the slaw was good, although it tasted better when I added a touch of salt to it. The highlights far outweighed the lackluster two foods. The Beef Brisket and Burnt Ends were excellent. They were well prepared and they gave you plenty of them. The Brisket & Burnt Ends were worth the 30 minute trip to the restaurant. Awesome would be an understatement. The sauces we selected, sweet for the brisket and hot for the burnt ends complimented the meat very well, although the meat did not need any sauce. A wonderful surprise were the mountain chips.When the arrived on our plate the looked dry and we thought this can't be good. However, to our wonderful surprise, the chips were very good. There was no oil dripping from the chips and they were seasoned to our liking. Overall, we would definitely return with our children and grandchildren to enjoy a delicious meal. while it is a little pricey, it is worth the money.

What a great place to take out or eat in. We're locals so we always take out family meals. Everything is fresh, hot and ready to set out on your table. My favorite place for take out picnic for the family.
Service is great, order ahead if you can because it's no secret how good everything is.

Decor is sad to nonexistent. Drink fountain broken. Service was lackadaisical. Failed to give us the much hyped home made chips that were supposed to come with sandwich. Good smoked turkey with good swiss cheese but for these prices a pickle or slice of onion would be nice.
Cashier kept toothpick in his mouth while explaining menu, making it hard to understand him. Maybe this was why we did not get what we thought we ordered.

Our chopped/pulled pork sandwiches were served dry and the meat lacking in flavor. The sweet sauce was thick and very sweet, the vinegar sauce a little on the weak side. Potato salad side dish wasn't the customary southern style; more of a savory flavor but tasty; the homemade chips were good. Better barbeque is available. This was an early lunch on a Saturday, so was surprised the pork was dry.

The food is really good; great sandwiches rotate, barbeque always wonderful, the folks are friendly and caring. It is a great place whether there alone or with family and/or friends.

Wonderful BBQ and I am picky about my BBQ!! Best pulled chicken I have ever had. Brisket amazing and my husband is Vegan and loves all of the side dishes

This is a family run business. Very clean, and the absolutely best BBQ within 50 miles. Reasonable price, great selection, and quick service. You won't be disappointed.

Jam-packed Brisket Tacos (air-puffed crispy) absolutely fabulous and roundly ignored at a concert venue with "cheaper" options. Will definitely find an excuse to make it part of a day trip and look for other events.
