Our family of 5 had lunch here yesterday and everything was wonderful. They have dine-in service right now but with social distancing. All of the employees were wearing masks. It is a counter service restaurant so you order at the counter and they bring you your food at your table. Our group had adults and children and we ordered hamburgers, sandwiches, a salad, and everything was exceptional. They also do have beer and wine by the bottle at the counter. Overall a great family restaurant. We were very happy with the value and the quality.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time looking around Chimney Rock. We then drove back down the hill to grab a bite to eat before we went back to the park for some more hiking (as long as we kept our receipt from the park, the park attendant said this was OK!).
Old Rock Cafe is just outside the park entrance.
I ordered the Old Rock Reuben (with corned beef, but the menu said it could also be made with turkey), along with Onion Rings. My daughter ordered the Turkey Classic sandwich, with a side of Vanilla-battered Sweet Potato Fries.

These sandwiches were ultra delicious!! Generous portion sizes were the name of the game here!
My Reuben was so juicy and flavorful, piled high with plenty of corned beef! The onion rings were fried to perfection! My daughter's sandwich was quite tasty, as well (we shared). And her flavored French fries were divine!! At first, I thought that "vanilla-battered" anything wouldn't work, but man, was I wrong! Plus, they gave her a heaping amount of fries, which was perfect for fueling us up for our return to the park.
This was one of our best meals during our visit to North Carolina!

Came to eat lunch after visiting Chimney Rock. The burgers were real hamburger patties freshly made, which is rare to find. Good fries, great spot for burgers and fries after walking all morning at the park. Good food!

We've visited Chimney Rock dozens of times over the years and have somehow overlooked this restaurant. We stopped in while on our last visit and have now found a new place to eat while visiting Chimney Rock.
We entered the restaurant and were instantly greeted by the staff and shown a menu. We took our time looking over the menu and never felt rushed. We stepped to the register, placed our order, went to our table, and had our food in less than five minutes!
The food was nicely presented, fresh tasting, and filled us both to the point that we had to skip a dessert!
The staff were helpful, the river view nice, and the atmosphere relaxed.

We are on vacation to the mountains and a big morning exploring at Chimney Rock. Worked up big appetites, so we walked downtown to look for a place to eat and found this cafe. The staff members were very friendly and the food was good. I ordered a black bean wrap with fries. The fries were scrumptious! Due to coronavirus, we brought the food down to the River where we swam after we ate. This is the place to go while in Chimney Rock!

Old Rock Cafe was the perfect lunch spot for us on the day we visited Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. I had the avocado chicken sandwich that was served on Ciabatta bread - it was very good and came with fresh avocado, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and Provolone. This is an order at the counter type spot, but the service was very good and friendly. I was expecting snack bar food; this was definitely a step up from that. They had just whipped up a fresh batch of avocado mayo, so the server added that on the side, nice touch. My husband had the barbecue chicken sandwich and enjoyed his as well. The portions were really generous. Prices very reasonable, especially given that this is a tourist area. The weather was beautiful on the day we visited, and we enjoyed sitting at one of their outside tables by the river. The cafe is located very close to Chimney Rock right on the main road. Would recommend this spot if you're looking to eat near this state park; we'll definitely go back the next time we're in the area.

This restaurant isn't much to look on the inside so we were happily surprised to find the food delicious, quickly prepared, and reasonably priced. The service was top-notch. We enjoyed several late lunch, early dinner meals here. We wish they were open for breakfast as well. The cafe is located in the heart of Chimney Rock Village, steps from Chimney Rock State Park, and close to Lake Lure attractions.

Food was OK, atmosphere simple. Off season when we visited. Back deck looks over river. Food was made hot and served quick though a little greasy. They do serve beer. Price is a little pricey but is in the middle of all the shops and next to the park entrance. Would try something else when in town.

We were a bit pressed for time after hiking in the state park and this place was recommended for a quick bite.
You order and pay at the counter given a number and food is brought out to your table. We both got the old Rock Club and we both loved it! I got the vanilla sweet potatoes which were so good they were almost a dessert.
This place is very casual and service very friendly seating inside or out in the patio by the River.

Not a wide menu but the food is really good. You can customize burgers with almost anything. The process are reasonable and they have a decent beer selection for such a small place. Not a big place but well worth a stop.

It was a quaint lil drop by place along Chimney Rock village. The food was really good and the place had outdoor dining so we could carry out pet. Nice burgers, salads, and you gotta try the old rock club sandwich... Fries? They are a plenty. Filled this happy guy up!!

We stopped in to eat lunch based upon other reviews on Trip Advisor. It is a quaint place with indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter and your food is brought out to you when ready. Burgers were good. Plentiful in size. Prices were fair.. Friendly group of workers who were fast and efficient.

The Chimney Rock chicken sandwich and Cheerwine burger were delicious. They offer gluten-free rolls. The staff has attention to detail and are incredibly approachable and down-to-earth. Cute outdoor seating facing the river. We will definately return soon.

Respecting the executive order concerning COVID-19 but still allowing for a great experience. The food was excellent and the view was beautiful. We set outside on the deck and listened to the water rush over the rocks. I had a simple cheeseburger but there was nothing simple about it. The burger was cooked to perfect. It was big enough to feed both of us.

What a great find. Just outside the park and on Broad River, this was a great place to stop for a bite to eat. I ate light and really enjoyed my chili dog. Everyone enjoyed their meals Herr. And after eating we walked off the patio down to the creek to explore.
