Restaurant week fine dining at a small price

Went for the February restaurant week event. The menu was finely crafted with some excellent options. 3 courses for $35, can't beat that!

We were in Charlotte to see Wicked the day after a major snowstorm - had reservations at Georges bressarie. We almost cancelled because of the snow/ice & we needed to drive there. A sales person highly recommended it so we went. Food was delish, service was great, and I definitely go back!

Hosted a dinner with a few client contacts and colleagues. The food here is great. The fiery mussel appetizer is very flavorful. We also enjoyed the charcuterie and cheese platters. I had the scallop entree which was very good. Everyone enjoyed their entree. The service is top-notch, and the wine we had, 2013 Banshee Mordecai, was delicious.

Always a great experience at George's. Server was pleasant and knowledgeable. Gave great recommendations on wine and cocktails and even helped with dinner decisions. She even took our valet ticket and had our car waiting for us when we left. Spot on!!!

We just had the good fortune of spending Christmas Eve at George's. We usually go out with a couple families for the evening and decided to go to Georges as a change of pace, and we are glad we did. The place was jumping but we went in deep and ordered a mix of oysters from Vancouver, Prince Edward Island... More

On my first visit to Charlotte, I was treated by my sister and nephew to an absolutely lovely night at Georges Brasserie. We had a delicious meal and the mussels were fantastic! I have never experienced anything like the warm reception we received at this establishment. The owner, chef and manager all visited our table. They were attentive to our... More

They try hard to please.... Nice decor, and the noise level is minimal to allow conversation. Service is a bit awkward (it took them a long time for a simple order of wine). The dinner menu had a nice variety of items. The portions are not that large, I guess to allow trying multiple items from the menu (and the... More

My wife like this restaurant better than I did. It was a warm summer evening when we dined there and everything I wanted to order after looking at the menu was winter fare: French Onion Soup, Cassoulet etc...I'll go back when it's colder to give those dishes a go.

We went here for the wife's birthday. She had the sea bass and I had the lamb. A couple of apps two drinks and out for $140 with tip. The food was good. Not quite as WOW like Chef and the Farmer, but good. I would not recommend the chocolate mousse. Too sweet, too dens and darn right ugly. Atmosphere... More

We love Georges at any hour but my particular favorite time to go is on a sunny afternoon. The patio is lovely. Starting with beignets and a rich raspberry compote to top it and if you're in the mood a peach bellini before completing your order with a french egg dish. For brunch there is a great selection ranging from... More
