Mexican Monday and tried out a new place my husband picked out and ....... Te Gusta. Nothing fancy but the food and drinks are legit and great portions !!!! Prices are great. They are “hiring” sooooo if your looking or know someone apply! Over 40...tequilas to pick and extras for only 1 or 2 dollars to make it extra special. Can eat inside or large outside patio.More

Honestly have no words right now...by far the worst service I have ever experienced. After waiting 45 minutes without anyone approaching us we ended up seating ourselves. Had 5 different waiters. Had to ask for water after 30 minutes of nobody coming by. Another 20...minutes before anyone took out drink order. Another 20 minutes before our drinks arrived. After asking to order we were told by 2 different waiters “sure, be right back”...they never came back. Eventually found someone who would take our order after sitting for an hour. Food was decent though (might have been because we were starving at that point). Not going back!More

I’ve spent time in many regions of Mexico enjoying the rich and varied cuisines of the country. Dinner at La Unica in Plaza Midwood brought me back. In addition to the authenticity of the food, we enjoyed conversing with the personable young Mexican waitstaff. Though...not as cheap as Mexico, prices were ridiculously low for a US dinner out. I recommend one of the many combination plates - I got to try a taco, tamale, and burrito with different fillings and an interesting sauce. Huge margaritas. If you enjoy patio dining, make sure to sit at the private patio in the back, not the tables in front, with the noise and pollution of Central AveMore

Good prices. Good lunch spot. Have eaten here several times during workday. Food is better some days than others. Never inedible. But if they worked on consistency I could rate them higher.

We stopped by after a tattoo consult next door and had an awesome and cheap lunch! Lunch combos were between $6-$7 and more food than my husband or I could finish. Great quality and super fresh!

My Wife and I stopped in for a late meal on a trip up to Charlotte. I prefer authentic Taqueria Mexican food to the Texas Mex style. The menu here has options for both preferences. This would be a great choice for group work lunch....I ordered a plate of assorted Steak, Chicken and Pork Tacos. Tacos are offered in either Taqueria style (Cilantro and Onion toppings) or Text Mex (Lettuce, Cheese, and Tomato). I of course went Taqueria style. The Tacos measured up to any Taqueria I have had in the South. They were quite good. My Wife was however very disappointed with her Torta. She is used to having sliced Jalapeño and Avocado and this did not have it. She finished less than half. The Torta was quite big though. There were a good variety of Salsas to choose from and my choice of hot was truly hot as I like my Salsa. I would happily return for the Tacos but would struggle to get my Wife to return.More

Depending on the staff... you can get them to offer up a main dish vegetarian style. Their veggie options are very limiting which makes this a nice place to eat but not a regular spot. When I do get that special wait person who will...help a veggie gal out... its GREAT!!!More
