Fantastic Find

If you don't look fast enough, you will miss it. A little hole in the wall had some fantastic, authentic Mexican cuisine. A few colleagues took me to their favorite lunch spot, and I could not have been more excited. Nothing fancy, only like 6 tables inside, but turning out awesome food. Step up and see what's being served, order what you like, sit and be served your dishes to go or eat in. Wow.

Home Cooking!

We were visiting Charlotte and chose to stay at the Homewood Suites which just happen to be within walking distance of the hotel. The food was fresh and prepared expediently. The taste was delicious. The cashier was kind and helpful in assisting us in making a choice. The price was good. My sister and I enjoyed it.

Hidden Gem

Pricing is great & service is friendly. The food is out of this world! We had beef burrito & grilled chicken tacos. Both came with chips & salsa. Everything was made fresh & quickly. Delicious, authentic Mexican food. They take cards & cash. My only complaint is they aren't open for dinner. Highly recommend!

Little gem for Mexican Food

It's a bit tucked away and a little discreet, but they do a fantastic job with original Mexican food! Good selection and very good prices. Only open till 3 pm so look at this for a nice lunch! The portions are large so you can get two meals out an order!

My wife and I were looking for a good quick lunch. Trip Advisor comes through again. If you are looking for ambiance go elsewhere, if you are looking for good food sit down. I got the #4 a chicken burrito covered with queso, SOOOO good, it came with a taco and rice. My wife had a fajita taco salad with chicken. It was loaded with chicken. I thought Carolina was known for BBQ 🤷‍♂️

Diamond in the rough!!!!

A long line tells me everything I need to know when it comes to any food establishment Anita's Mexican Grill is no different!! When pulling up the first thing you notice is the gas station but 8that's not where you want to get a fill up lol. If you think you will have troubles finding it just look for the line of people waiting for a taste of greatness!!! I had the double steak quesadilla and it was amazing!!!! I certainly recommend having these, the tortilla was crispy and the meat was very tender it came with a side of guac and sour cream which complimented my dish very well! The best thing for me was that even though it was packed they never got behind, and the line was out the door!!! This is definitely a place to check out and a free day, but remember they are only open from 11-3 so get there ASAP!!!!!

Best Mexican food in Charlotte. Hands down.

This is it. The real deal. The food is authentic, delicious, and ridiculously cheap for the quality. You cannot find better Mexican food anywhere in Charlotte. The atmosphere is not much to speak of but it doesn't matter. All of the focus is on the amazing food. Yes, it's attached to a gas station, but don't let that scare you. It's genuinely amazing food.

A friend who works near here recommended and she was right. Good food, reasonably priced. We went on a Sat. so it wasn't too long a wait but FYI there isn't a lot of seating. Good for take out though. I had a enchilada, rice and beans with came with chips and we ordered guacamole. All good. I do think they need to get their Health Dept rating up as it is 94.5. (8/18).

Absolutely the Best

Anita’s is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at. Don’t let the location next to a gas station fool you - the food is exceptional. Yes seating is limited. Yes this is not fast food. Yes this is cheap eats BUT I eat there about once a month and never had a bad meal or left there disappointed or not impressed. The Staff is very friendly. The restaurant is very clean.

Great lunch spot close to airport

Some of our Charlotte based employees recommended Anita’s for lunch. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed their lunch. It’s very busy and has limited seating, so plan accordingly.
