Got a take out order. Did it online and the order was correct and ready in a few minutes. Food was good. Not outstanding but better than some Chinese I have had elsewhere. Egg rolls were very good. Fried rice and lo mien were just a bit too oily for my taste.

This has been our go to take out Chinese spot for over a decade.
Excellent quality and the prices are fair.
Best Lo Mein in town.

After Elevation church I found this restaurant to eat lunch, chicken vegetables steamed with brown rice and their hot n' sour soup, all good healthy food.

I am disappointed to share that though the food is decent, the service is terrible. I specifically mean the delivery service. I had ordered my food online, and added a $2 tip on top of the $3 deliver charge. I may be naive, but I thought a $2 tip to bring my food bag from the car to my front door was appropriate. Once the man brought my food, he asked me to enter a tip. Awkwardly, I enter ANOTHER $2 tip, and he proceed to harrass me that he "drove all the way over here for a $2 tip". Mind you, Lotus Cafe is 2.8 miles from my house. I am appalled that this delivery driver would give me grief for only tipping him $2 to walk my food bag from his car to my front door, which is maybe 10 feet from the driveway. I am just disgusted with the audacity that people feel they DESERVE a tip for doing their job. Chinese food is Chinese food. There's nothing special here. The delivery service has turned me off from this restaurant forever.

We ordered food from this place for many years. We did not have any other choice because it was the only Chinese restaurant that delivered where we live. Over the years the food has gotten worse and was frequently not what we ordered. We finally called to complain about our order this last time and they told us that they were too busy to care. I reminded them that we had been loyal customers for a long time, but they said that they didn't care and hung up.

Food is not WORTH the price you pay. Tried this place 3 times now and was disappointed very single time. In fact after first two bad experiences my husband didn't even want to order anything from here and went for a pizza from next door instead.
Chicken in chicken fried rice (which comes with rice/chicken and onions only) was overcooked, has to trash it. Called them but no use.
Vegetable lo mein JUST had broccoli as vegetable in it.
People are not friendly or welcoming.
You don't get that warm welcome feeling when you call or go to pickup your food.
I would anytime go to Red bowl or Ming Fu (which is not too far) and get better value for my money.
The only reason I wanted to give this one a chance is because it is right next to my favorite nail salon and it is gets very convenient for me. But not going any more. Total waste of money.

I have been here a couple of times, and not disappointed. Just good Chinese (American style) food. Hot and Sour soup can vary in taste, other dishes can be made as hot as you like....had the Hunan chicken. Fried Rice pretty good also. Specials can vary in quality but not disappointing.
Mostly take-out...there are tables but you still need to order from the counter.

My wife and I did take out last night. We had Hunan Chicken and a large Hot and Sour soup. It was terrific and the price more than reasonable! The menu we saw on the internet was unstated. I picked up a "real" menu with the food and found it to be extensive!

We just moved in nearby and wanted to check out the good Chinese in the area and really enjoyed this place! It's definitely more of a take out than sit in spot, but it's great to have it in the area!

My family has been getting take out from Lotus Café for a number of years. It has the best Chinese food in Charlotte (imo). We have never had a bad meal. they occasionally forget to include an egg roll or so, but they always make good. No questions asked! Food is fresh, cooked right and service is always prompt. If you go on line they have discount coupons. If your from the NYC area you will really enjoy their food. You can eat in, but we always take out. By the way....
great prices in addition to great food! They also deliver. Try it, I'm sure you will like it!

Ummm, I am eating the leftovers now! I think it is some of the best beef lomein that I have ever had!
The cafe is in the plaza next to BiLo. My husband, son and I ordered to go and waited for the food. It was fast service. While we waited lots of people came for pick up orders, every was greeted nicely and food was alwAys ready to go!
I saw ther are $5.50 lunch combos I would like to try in future...
I will be adding the phone number to my phone!

Always the best- never fails! They know us by name, and with good reason- they are simply the best takeout chinese in Charlotte! (Ask for no eggroll in the combo and they'll give you double rice!)
