After visiting the Graham Library we went here for a late lunch. Had the sirloin, salad, and mashed garlic potatoes. It was all good. Service was good, prices reasonable. My steak was a little over done for med rare but I liked it anyway.
Went for breakfast and sat on my own on the patio was nice very quiet and relaxing experience the waitress was really nice and super friendly a very nice breakfast just had the basic as wasn’t that hungry Canadian bacon with eggs perfect.
Inside is...very interesting decor very comfortable look.More
This place was very clean, not very busy because it was near closing time. We were not rushed at all and the staff were very friendly. The food came out in a normal time and was exactly as ordered. It was all good but the...steaks had the best flavor of any steak I've ever eaten anywhere. they were also tender and juicy. Mouth watering. I might drive to Charlotte some time from Georgia just to eat here again. It was that good.More
This place was recommended by the hotel, and was just a few blocks away. I had a ribeye steak and lobster tail with two sides and a salad for less than 30 dollars, and it was excellent. Highly recommend
Every time I am in Charlotte on business, I have a meal at Carolina Prime. In the last year I have never been disappointed! Atmosphere is casual, locals and travelers dining in there alike. Bartender Chris will definitely go out of his way to take...care of you, whether food or drink; and all the servers/service is outstanding. If you need anything, just ask! Prices are very affordable for Charlotte, but I do wish there was a larger size sirloin option. Steaks are very good, flavorful and tender. I have also had the chopped steak with onions and peppers, has become my favorite. Was told all the trim from the steaks is ground to make it, which would explain why it is about the best I have ever had!More
At the last minute we decided to go out to eat on Valentine's day. We arrived about 830pm expecting to have mediocre food due to being so late. Food was excellent, very hot, and no waiting for a table. Very impressed that the baked potatoes...were still very fresh and extremely hot that it was difficult to eat right away due the temperature of the potato. We ordered spinach dip (hot and awesome), 2 Ribeye steaks (cooked just right) grilled asparagus (very tasty and just the right crisp), baked potato, mixed veggies, and fried squash (not so tasty). They also serve you bread before your meal. The bread was spectacular! Only down fall was butter for the potato was in tiny disposable square containers but the potato was so hot it melted right away even after opening 15 of the containers. Will definitely eat there again!!More
I have lived in Charlotte for almost 2 years driving past this restaurant a number of times without considering a visit mainly because of where the restaurant sits; an obscure location situated between fast food restaurants off of Woodlawn Rd. I must say that I...was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of food presented in front of me, the preparation and presentation of the meal, and the friendliness of the staff. I started with the crab cake and the she crab soup followed by the perfectly cooked ribeye steak along a succulent lobster tail ending with the cheesecake brulee. It just happened to be during The Queen Charlotte Restaurant week so this meal only costed $35; a steal by far! I plan to return for a visit as they are known for their delicious calamari and lunch specials which include a grilled fillet of salmon sandwich, a Greek chicken & vegetables dish, and a ribeye steak sandwich. Worth a visit!More
We were staying overnight in Charlotte before catching an early flight the next day. We stumbled upon the Carolina Prime Steakhouse and were pleasantly surprised at the service, quality of food, and atmosphere. We would definitely stop there again. Melinda was our server! Ask for...her section!More
I had prime rib, it was very fatty and poorly cooked, au jus lacked any character. My son had a strip steak with onions which I think we're there to hide the fact that it to was a poor cut and not well cooked. Service...was ok, process were very reasonable.More
