Ate here several times and drank many beers! Love this place. It is right across the street from the Marriott on the corner.

An absolute hidden gem in downtown Charlotte!!! My husband and I went here, because we were too exhausted to leave our hotel for the evening, after a long day. It truly was amazing and I'd even rate it up there with many of the 5 star restaurants we have been to, throughout the east coast. Everything, and I mean everything,... More

Had no idea where we were going to go for dinner to celebrate a milestone birthday, a bit surprised when we pulled up to the downtown Marriott. BEST MEAL EVER! Very small restaurant (only about 7 tables) so you for sure feel as if you are in an intimate setting, highlighted by the rich red colors of the walls and... More

Amuse buche?! Palate cleanser?! Personalized attention?! Yes! These and others still exist in the Queen City! My wife and enjoyed one of the best meals ever. I started with the Lobster Cobbler. It was served with a side of Saffron Ice Cream to provide coolness to the warm lobster as an option. It definitely wasn't for the "sweet-savory" thing as... More

Great personal service in a small dining area which makes it very nice. You don't have the huge dining area so you feel like you are on a VIP list or something. Personal service with a smile each time. Menu was diverse with several new entrees. Loved all three courses. Wine selection was adequate as well.

A group of friends and I tried this venue for Charlotte Restaurant Week. Although we ate off of a smaller menu, I made sure to try the tried and true Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding - it definitely lives up the the hype! It comes out on FIRE on a square plate, and is delectable and sweet! The restaurant itself is... More

Note, we dined there with a group, had a dedicated menu rather than ordering from the normal offerings. Service was superb - attentive yet not overbearing. Food was very good, but the quirky occasionally threatened to overcome the adventure. Fried oyster and small cup of gumbo as appetizers were superb; poached egg swimming in bacon consomme was very good but... More

Went to Savannah Red recently during Restaurant Week with some foodie friends after hearing the rave reviews. My experience was not in the category of "exceptional" it was actually far from it. The positive is the beautiful decor and light fixtures. The menu is limited, the service was so so and my steak and two asparagus spears were served cold.... More

I would like to sincerely apologize for your unfortunate dining experience. There is no acceptable excuse for delivering cold food or giving bad service. Our restaurant prides itself on giving our customers a memorable experience and it upsets all of us to hear of a disgruntled guest. Savannah Red changes their menus seasonally and we do tastings prior to introducing... More

I don't understand all the five stars and the one one star review. There's nothing terrible about this place. But, there is nothing great about it either. The restaurant is a small room off the bar off the lobby. Kind of a cool room, but it was pretty empty so not much of a vibe to it. The menu rid... More

A hidden treasure hiding in plain sight!! if this wasn't located in the Marriott lobby people would be raving about it. The creativity is only outdone by the delivery and flavor. Go if you want some of the best new south food, don't go if you are a snob who won't go to a restaurant in a Marriott no matter... More
