My brother took us to Amalfi. A simple restaurant with fresh baked bread, fresh salad, & the BEST Cannoli I've ever eaten!! I have never liked Cannoli but I even bought some to go! Will be back.

The best chicken parmesan I have had in Charlotte. I highly recommend them for there NY style pizza as well.
Nice people. Salads were mundane. No more than 3, if that many, cheeses could be discerned on the 5 cheese pizza, which was lukewarm when served. Went with friends at their recommendation. Not likely I will return.
Service was awful. Very rude! Went there on a recommendation..but had such a bad experience (i believe from the owner) not only will I never go back.. but I will tell as many people as I can to not go there. I would hope the...owner would read this and evaluate his customer service. But based on the demonstration I saw I doubt they will..More
Casual, friendly family-owned business with fantastic food! Everything here is delicious but our favorite is the Margarita Pizza...so good!
We have been to this restaurant a number of times over the years and it never ceases to amaze. The experience was perfect in every regard, especially the amazing pasta dishes. The service was excellent and they make you feel like friends and family while...you're there. It feels like a neighborhood restaurant. I've never tried their pizza because I just can't bring myself to not order one of the pasta dishes. The sauces were excellent and the pasta cooked perfectly. Salute to Amalfi's.More
When traveling we have yet to find a pizza that meets our Midwest expectations and Amalfi comes very close! It was delicious and service was wonderful! Great sense of humor they all have! We'll be back!
I ordered once from this place and after my call was not returned I left a negative review on their Facebook page about the poor food quality and included pics of the burned food. Today more than four months later I get a response telling...me I'm sick in the head. What a way to handle a negative review! So now I not only will never order from them again but I am sharing it to other places besides Facebook.More
We used to eat at Amalfi’s Pizza N Pasta quite often in the ‘80s and early ‘90s. It was a cozy, small restaurant in the University area and we loved the food. It’s been close to 20 years since we’ve been there and I wanted...Italian so we decided to try Almafi’s for dinner. I should have known to check out reviews on Trip Advisor first -- don’t waste your time or your money on this place. They have a sanitation grade of 94, which is lower than I like, but we stayed. The décor hasn’t changed. I ordered the penne a la vodka, a dish I love at Hawthorne’s and Mama Ricotta’s. My husband ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. A small side salad comes with these two dishes. We both ordered bleu cheese dressing and the it was watery, I had one tiny piece of bleu cheese, and I had brown lettuce. A big turn off for me! The food came out pretty quick, which sometimes is not a good thing. Okay, so my penne was served piping hot, you can even see the steam coming off of it in my picture. It didn’t look like penne a la vodka that I usually get from the above mentioned restaurants, but I figured it’s the same, the sauce is just a little different. Well, it was okay; I ate as much as I could and I did get full, it just wasn’t flavorful. It tasted like penne pasta with a tasteless sauce. My husband didn’t like his dish either and the sauce did taste funny. The grated parmesan is on the table, you don’t get freshly grated cheese, but, again, it is a small restaurant. Our dishes also came with bread and the bread was piping hot and seemed to be homemade; it was quite delicious once you put the butter on it. It was very soft in the center and the butter tasted like it may have something in it although I couldn’t quite make out the added flavor. The butter made the bread taste really good. The server checked on us once. There was a large party of some sort going on in the middle section of the room, and they were extremely loud, but again, the restaurant is small and acoustics are not good; however, there is nowhere you can sit so that you will be away from a party or large tables and there is no “back” room for a party. The check was $30 and we wished we’d gone to Olive Garden.More
Amalfi has the best Italian food. I usually get the manicotti. It's loaded with cheese and the sauce is perfect. The pizza is awesome too. It's owned by an Italian gentleman that moved here from NY NY. He's a cool guy.
