The food was excellent, and more because for someone it’s was the first time eating Mexican food. The server Daniela Perez took our order fast and she also explained us about the food and the restaurant, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and the server also!!!

Went on the recommendation of family friends from California. Being a SoCal native, I am a Mexican food snob. Tough to impress me. This place is awesome! Carnitas plate was as good as any in SoCal and better than most in Mexico. Rice is acceptable and beans are good but not Texas good, not sure if they are made with lard. (Texas refried beans are the consistency of mayonnaise, and melt in your mouth.) Chips and salsa were a great start and the $2 asada tacos were delicious. (Taco Tuesday is $2 tacos with purchase of a coke product). Loved the tacos so much on Tuesday that I took co-workers back on Wednesday, whic is when I ordered the Carnitas plate. Staff was attentive, food came out quick and everyone loved their meals. Bar seemed fully stocked but we were at a business lunch so no alcohol for our group. Parking lot is large. When you drive up, you hear mariarchi music and smell grilled meat. Once inside, ESPN or soccer game is the TV. Very remiscent of SoCal.

We were craving good Mexican food and this place was a huge disappointment. It took 10 minutes for a server to come to our table. The restaurant was practically empty. We ordered queso, two kids meals, elote corn, a steak quesadilla, a margarita and waters. While we waited for our food, our kids went to the restroom and said a couple of the servers were taking pictures and doing tik toks in the restroom. All of our food came except the corn. We asked for an extra plate and never received it. The food was mediocre. The queso was lumpy, we only received a drop of guacamole and the food just wasn’t very flavorful. We could never ask for the corn because our server never came to check on us. She talked to another customer across the restaurant the whole time we ate. We tried looking around to get the attention of other servers but that did not help. The resultant was not very clean either. I have not left a negative review for a restaurant in years! I try to give a lot of grace, especially after the pandemic, but this was incredibly disappointing.

It's such a pity this wonderful little piece of Mexico has such poor service. You need more waiters and more people serving at the bar. It is unacceptable to have to wait 30 minutes just for the drinks to come out, another 15 for someone to take your food order and another long wait for the food to come out. I had to go fetch my own water!! Just put water jugs on the table while you're serving Tacos. My ground beef Taco was okay, it wasn't a very large amount of food, and the cheese could have been more generous. Another member at our table thought her food was terribly bland and didn't eat 80% of it. The candy store is fantastic and interesting and I wish I could have spent more time there. Good prices though and waiters who are trying their best, I'm sure. They are friendly and nice people.

Drove by today and said that looks cute. Food was awesome. Chimichanga and Flautas. Generous portions very reasonably priced. We asked for hotter sauce. We were brought a delightful little trio that was delicious. Family oriented. Casual. Decor cute. Will be back

Worst server ever, her name is Andrea. Her rude attitude and the way she talked to every single person was upsetting. Plus they charged us 20% gratuity and she didn’t deserved it. I’m in such of disbelief that people like her can have a job and be so ungrateful treating her clientele the way she does. Management better do something! Food was ok.

Chips and salsa went great with the Dos Equis. Drink specials were great deal. Even though we don't do frozen drinks, we appreciated their efforts to bring a good deal. Menudo (Thursday to Sunday only) was excellent - rich, spicy and fragrant. Of course I would have preferred more meat! But still very good. The Tres Compadres was a great choice of meats and accompaniments. Service by Ana Maria was great - as usual.

The service was good, very attentive. The food was ok. I order 4 traditional tacos. 2 carne asada 2 carnitas. The were served luke warm at best. The crane asada lacked flavor that you would expect from a marinated beef. The carnitas also lacked flavor pork as well. The highlight was the service. The meal was disappointing.

Had he enchiladas at lunch, my only complaint is that they were not HOT (temperature wise) like Mexican food should be served. Taste was good, good chips, but a little bland for me, like it spicy. I have had the tamales in the past, that is the best choice.

Surprisingly good. The nachos had a different taste than I’ve had at other Mexican food restaurants. You do get large servings. The chips are served warm and the salsa was good. Restaurant seemed clean. Don’t let the outside keep you from coming in and enjoying.

I have wanted to try this restaurant for a long time and the other day, my wife and I decided to stop for lunch. I was impressed when I walked in for it was much nicer that I had thought for some reason that it would be. The patrons were mostly Mexican, so I took that as a very positive plus too. The service was excellent, so we were getting off to a great start, then my tacos arrived. I had ordered 2 chicken tacos with beans and rice and truly could not eat them. The chicken was simply awful, dry and even difficult to chew. I normally would have said something, but I was so disappointed that I simply placed my napkin over my plate. My wife had order their nachos supreme and it was awful too. one good point, they appear to serve a good quanity of food with each dish, so if the food was good, it would be an excellent value. So, after thinking about it and reading the reviews here on Trip Advisor, I think we simply visited this place at one of their worst moments, so I am going to go back one day for lunch and give it a second try.

I visited La Poblanita 3 times in one week. The first time I ordered a shrimp quesadilla and 2 cheese and onion enchiladas, which are not a menu item. I don’t eat chips or salsa, so can’t comment on those. I’m from Iowa and I order the same thing there. The waitress asked what was in a cheese and onion enchilada. I pointed out that they had cheese enchiladas and to just add some onion to it. I asked if the guacamole had a lot of onions or peppers in it and she said it did. Told her to skip that as I don’t like raw onions and never peppers. Told her all I wanted with the quesadilla was lettuce, tomato and sour cream. When the food arrived I was surprised by the larger portions. The quesadilla had large shrimp in it and lots of cheese, it was excellent. However, there was onion and cilantro mixed in with the lettuce and tomatoes. I decided to pick around it instead of sending it back. When I pulled the plate with enchiladas to me, I was surprised it was cold. I cut into a enchilada and it was cold as well. The onions weren’t even cooked. When she brought the check she asked how everything was and I told her the enchiladas were cold. She offered to take them back and have them heated, but I declined the offer. She said she would take it off the bill, but I told her I appreciated that they were willing to try something different and I would pay for them. She insisted on removing them and did so. My second order was a take out order of 2 shrimp quesadillas. I told them I only wanted lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream, nothing else. I picked up the order and when I got home found a container of green stuff that was not guacamole and a container that had something orange in it and no tomatoes. I threw out the 2 containers and ate them without the tomatoes sadly. The next time I ordered take out, I made it very clear that all I wanted was 2 shrimp quesadillas with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. I told her, nothing else, just those items. This time I noticed there was a bag of chips and a container of salsa on top of the styrofoam containers. I handed them to the waiter and told him I didn’t want them. I did get the lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream, but someone different made the quesadillas, because not only was there shrimp and cheese in them like the 2 previous times, but also onions, peppers and something black I didn’t recognize. I ate the shrimp with the veggies and sour cream and threw the rest away. Not sure why they don’t understand a slimmed down order or specifics, or why the additional ingredients in the last quesadilla, which is why they don’t get five stars. Another reason would be due to how open the inside is, it’s very noisy, which is why I ordered take out the next two times.
