First time today for lunch. Why I haven’t been there before - I can’t explain. Did not disappoint. I would rank the overall restaurant and food quality better than; Los Arcos and Monterrey in University area. The benchmark is La Unica near the chicken plant in Monroe. That in my opinion is the best but it is a far drive and I will be back to this establishment.

Loved the sopa de pollo here, and the chips & salsa were fresh and tasty. Would love to come back and have a margarita some time!

Probably the best Mexican I've ever had

When I lived in Charlotte, Las Margaritas was the place to go. Cheap food, high quality, CHEAP drink specials. It is right off Independence so you have to really looking for it. Excellent place. Everyone is so friendly! You won't be disappointed!

Updated Review - Something's wrong!

Las Margaritas used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant in Charlotte. But over the last year the quality of food and service have started to lack. Using pineapple juice in the fajitas was a real turn off. Overcooked asada as well. The general feel of the restaurant has changed. Not sure if this is a result of a management changeover or not. The sign outside has been in need of repair for over a year as well. Please fix management and get this restaurant back to where it used to be.

Blink and you’ll miss it!

This restaurant is in a small shopping center off Independence. You can easily drive right past it due to the speed of the traffic on Independence. We stopped in for dinner with some friends and was seated very quickly. Nothing really special about the decor of the site but the service was excellent. Food came out pipping hot and it was in big portions. Excellent flavor! Will definitely return if we are ever on that side of town again! Delish!

The owners were exceptionally gracious and the food was just as expected. The mole was the best! The chicken tortillas soup was also very good.

Bang for your buck!

love this place. have been going here for 8 years: seeing the same happy servers, drinking the best margaritas and enjoying excellent, fresh food. incredibly consistent and super reasonable pricing. you will see everybody eating here: employee's families, local families, cops, out-of-state vendors from the Southern Christmas Show :), fancy couples, every day every bodies! reservations not needed. phone: (704)567.2359

This is really our new go-to place. The dishes are delicious and seem authentic. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are decent. The service is geeat. We've tried several dishes so far and we're satisfied by everything we've tried.

This is the first place I took my wife out to eat when we met and were broke as a joke living in Oakhurst Neighborhood going to school. [cool story bro] This location has had a few names though out the years. this one "Margaritas" has cracked the code. The food is delicious the prices are very reasonable the portions are huge, we always have some to take home and snack on later. the owners, management and service staff are the best. they even know my schedule. when I am on duty my wife brings the family here to eat when they are out and about. they treat us like family. the food is delicious did i mention that?

The chips and salsas never stop coming, which is a great plus! service is attentive and fast. The portions are large and the food is fresh and good, though my vegetarian burrito could have used a bit more flavor.

Friendly Mexican Spot

I have visited Las Margaritas many times over the years with friends and family. The service is always friendly and fast. The food is well prepared and yummy. The menu is not only varied, but the staff will accommodate meals to your specifications. This week, I ordered a favorite, nachos supremos. The fajitas are also delicious. My dining companion got carnitas de puerco, and said the dish was excellent. This is a casual, friendly spot where it is easy to feel relaxed and at home.

Great meal - family run place

While in town my sister and brother took me to one of their favorite place. It was a good call and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and time there. The staff is very friendly and personable. The pico before the meal is unique and some of the best I've had. The meal was delicious and portions were very large. A great meal.

Yummy Mexican!

Went here for a late dinner with a large group. It's tucked away in a strip lot, but def worth the stop. Servers were great, food was authentic and portions were generous!

Good for lunch

I probably stop here about once a month for lunch with a co-worker. It's very consistent and the food is always prepared correctly in my opinion. The menu is very broad and there are many options. I've never had a bad meal here. I also like the two salsa options with the chips. Pretty close to authentic Mexican.

Everything was good until the Bill

First of all I will say the food was very authentic. Salsa fresh fried torilla shells. My concern is there were charges on the bill that had not been explained. I was charged for several items that I was not informed prior to ordering. One of my biggest complaints is when explaining this to the owner she appeared to think I was fabricating my experiences at other restaurants. So I say before you order I ask if there is a charge. Again everything was good until the bill.
