My family (3 girls, 1 boy) has season passes. Every time we go to Carowinds rides are closed or not open yet!!! Same for restaurants. We like to get there early but when we do, some of the rides don’t even open until after lunch!
We pay good money when we go so it’s very annoying! Probably won’t renew our passes!

I have been going to Carowinds for the past 5-6 years and everything is great the Gold Pass is such a great deal you can add food and drinks for quite a low amount for all year you also get free parking with it. I went about 3 weeks ago Carolina Harbor opening day and it was amazing there was like nobody in the waterpark and the lines went quick the only thing that sucks right now is reservations I think it's stupid but everything else in the park is amazing especially Fury 325!

What a rip off!! Not saying fun can not be had at this place, but for the price...4 kids, 1 day, nothing special going on, July 10th, 2021. $750 ! WAY TO MUCH!!!
When calling / trying to confirm my kids were not being scammed / taken advantage of, I tried calling Carowinds multiple time. (My kids are 20, 19, 18 & 16 years old.) When you call, you are told to leave a message, yet rather than getting a recording or answering machine, the phone system hangs up on you. Had to contact the associated hotel to be transferred to security, who transferred me to guest services. After 30 minutes on hold, a gentleman, Jason, confirmed the prices paid were accurate.
1 day, 4 kids, 4 fast passes, 4 (money saving) meal plans, 4 (money saving) drink plans, an extra $50 per person at the door to gain admittance, NO REFUND OPTION available after learning of the additional $200 admissions price...RIDICULOUS!!!
As a business owner, and the wife of a fellow business owner, God has been good to us. We are fortunate and have truly been bless. That aside, the cost of this 1 day experience, WAY TO MUCH!!

This year has been miserable!
Carowinds had an opportunity to provide an excellent experience for their passholders this year and have failed horribly.
Rude customer service, we were handed a warm drink no ice with black floaty stuff in the cup after paying $2.48 for the drink when the cup clearly says $1 to begin with. NO REFUNDS???????????
We paid for the refillable cup $15 cup to begin with.
RESERVATIONS????? FOR Passholders???
I FEEL TAKEN HOSTAGE BY CEDAR FAIR ENTERTAINMENT.
When we purchased our passes in 2020 we in good faith knew what we were buying, access to an amusement park anytime we had the time off to visit.
what we are receiving is a very limited, poorly executed experience with no promise of reimbursement.
I know they are not responsible for 2020 closure but this is a minimal effort at best for the millions of dollars received by the local families supporting this business
what is being delivered is not what we paid for.
My family should not have to make reservations as a season passholder while they are still selling daily tickets.
It only shows their lack of concern for their local families.

At this point, I’m very aggravated with Carowinds. Some friends and I decided to have an adult night, sans kiddos, at Carowinds. I did not buy a season pass this year, have for many years, but I noticed Carowinds has discounts online if buying tickets in advance. I bought my ticket online and “saved” a few coins. When arriving I notice that Veterans, Active and Retired military personnel get free admission around Independence Day. Since I had already bought my tickets I went to customer service to see if I could get a refund or defer my tickets to another day and get my free admission, I am a Vet and thought I would take advantage of the years of serving our country that I thought Carowinds was rewarding me for. I was told “nope” nothing could be done and I was out of luck. I generally don’t expect much but when you only advertise that you have this at the front gate and not online, where you promote purchasing in advance to save coin, I have a problem with that. The employee had zero compassion or empathy and obviously could not give a crap.
Really disappointed in you superficial support of the military!

Our kids love Carowinds and the rides are great. We like to go in the summer and spend a few hours in the park. We have had season passes for years and it is one of the best deals out there for entrtainment.

We bought my daughter and her family season passes to Carowins for 2019. We went Saturday 12/29/18 for Winterfest and were terribly disappointed. If we had come first, we would not have bought the season tickets.
First and foremost- each ride was being managed by one person. And usually a slow person at that! The ride would last 1-2 minutes and take 10 min to load. We waited at least 20 min in line for the swings for a 2 min ride!! The app said the wait was 5 min- not accurate! Many of the rides didn’t even show what the wait was and for good reason!
We left several rides after 30 min and still having at least an hour in front of us. Specifically, Ricochet was running one car at a time!! No wonder it was taking so long. And then with one person running the entire ride....
The food was awful and expensive. I ordered a philly cheese sandwich with fried onions. There were no onions on it when it came. They told me they were out of onions! Why offer them and charge me? When I said I paid for onions, the reply was , “I’ m sorry”. How many people did they charge throughout the day for onions knowing they didn’t have any with no option/ offer for a refund? Do I smell a scam?
The bathrooms were disgusting! The floors were flooded. There was no evidence anyone had been there to clean them.
Overall, it is like they want your money but don’t offer you anything in return. I already bought the passes but won’t make that mistake again!

Lots of roller coasters both kiddie and massive monsters. The food is terrible except for the chick fil a and Panda Express which both only have a few menu items at high prices but better than everything else. Water park is included in the price. Fun fun place for kids and families

Pricing was decent and I felt the kids had a great time for the value paid. It's a small park with big park attractions. It also wasn't too crowed and parking was good.

We really enjoyed Scarowinds this year. They had great bands, great rides, and a great Halloween theme. We all said we will definitely go back next year. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

This is a great family theme park with lots of roller coasters, water park and shows for the kiddies. Charlie Brown/Peanuts theme. There are lots of adult rides along with a separate area for younger children, retail stores, ice cream and a Starbucks. Lots of other attractions such as face painting and games w/prizes for minimal charge. Beautifully landscaped with mature trees providing shade in curbed or walled areas so you can sit along with benches scattered through park. Food court with burgers including turkey burger, Italian, BBQ, pizza, salads and fruit located in air conditioned building with family sized picnic tables, adult bar, phone charging station, stage with periodic shows w/Peanuts characters and bands, outdoor covered sitting area with tables and rockers. Pricey as we got 2 slices of pizza with fruit, 2 salads and 4 drinks for $75. And BBQ with beans and slaw, turkey burger with fries and a drink was $38. You can enter and leave park with a hand stamp so optional to leave and eat at Cracker Barrell across street or local fast food. No outside food/drink allowed and bags are checked. Look for discount tickets and packages on line or thru SECU. We went on eclipse day and there was no crowd/line.

Having been to Cedar Point - Carowinds is very comparable!!! Excellent Roller Coasters - Rides and Selections! We got lucky and went on a very empty day and waited in almost no lines all day ( I know how rare this is) It was great! We would definitely go again. One draw back are food and drink prices. I had just come from Disney where prices were high - Carowinds are HIGHER. $4.29 for a 16 ounce bottle of Coca Cola is unacceptable and insults your guests. I understand the desire to make a profit - but this is out of control. Other food prices were all VERY high!

Kids had a blast and wow was it hot. Get there early so you can beat the lines. Weekdays are always better than the weekends due to long lines.
