RedEye is a classic all-day/night diner. Although located in a modern urban development, make no mistake about it….the diner is classic in every sense of the word. Menu, hours, decor….the food was very good, quick, and real sadly priced. Our waiter was extremely friendly. Definitely...don’t miss RedEye if ever in the area.More

Standard solid food. Nothing special. Good service and price and convenient for what we needed. Would go back if pressed for time.

American restaurant. The aesthetics and music were top. the food and the service kind of average. So it’s ok to visit and probably better for a drink rather than a meal

Don't let the 'you may have to wait for your food because we are having staffing issues' sign on the door defer you from coming in to eat any meal! We had friendly, quick service and the food was delicious. We ended up eating two...meals here... onion rings, waffle fries, waffles, scrambled eggs, fried hard eggs, and a Meat lovers omelete with hashbrowns and biscuit. The diner is super clean. We will definitely come back when in Charlotte.More

We visited the diner for a late dinner on a weeknight. It was not crowded, but not empty, either. I had the shrimp and grits and they were wonderful! The creamy grits were some of the best I've ever had, and portion sizes were quite...generous. Another person at our table had the chicken tenders and said they were too good to share. Highly recommend!More

Good food on first visit. This was pre-concert dinner and plenty of choices. Wings, burgers, chicken sandwiches and wraps. Like you would expect plus a little better! Nice staff! Plus they have beer and drinks, so much better than a “regular” diner. And the grits...were great.More

This is one of the few restaurants left standing in the huge outdoor, 3-story mall called the Epicentre, so you know it has to be pretty good to serve the massacre of COVID. The place takes you back to a 1950s diner - and yes,...I visited them in their heyday. But this one has a bar - and that is unusual. However, the neon signage, the red cushioned counter stools, the red covered booths with the formica tables are all a blast to the past. The menu is fairly extensive. The prices are fair. The food is good. The servers are delightful. We went there for dinner and again for breakfast the next day. Both good. If you like good, old-fashioned American diner food, the RedEye is sure to please. NOTE: 201 E Trade St is a large, 3-story outdoor mall that covers most of a city block. It has multiple entrances. The RedEye is on the first floor is you enter off College St. You have to climb a flight of stair if you enter off Trade St.More

Some of the best diner food I've ever had, and at a good price. Went for dinner with spouse, got a comfy booth in just a few minutes, waitress was very nice (if a bit green). Decor was tastefully classic retro diner. Menu all online...(QR code), got burgers with fries and milkshake. Burgers were *amazing,* waffle fries were excellent, shake was fine, everything was as ordered. Very reasonably priced (except milkshake), tipped well. Best part: unlike most diner fare, was not greasy, and we didn't regret it next day! Will definitely come back next time we're in town.More

Went for breakfast and overall the food was amazing and offers all the typical options. They were down to 1 server and the manager when we went. But they still were extremely attentive and the food was quick.

Went to a concert at Spectrum center. Red Eye was just a short walk away (Located in the Epicentre). The place has a 1950's retro-diner feel to it. There are many reproduction gold & platinum records from various artists adorning the walls. The server was...courteous and was very helpful explaining all the items on the menu. They serve breakfast all day so the wife got an omelette and grits. She said the grits were excellent and did not even need to have butter added. I got the Philly cheese steak with waffle fries which were also very good.More

Family early dinner before a concert. Walking distance from our hotel and a varied menu made us chose the Redeye. Wife had French toast, my Mexican cheeseburger was huge and tasty and my kid said the chicken tenders were among the best they ever had....Tons of waffle fries too! Excellent sweet tea. Friendly and fast service.More

It was crowded, I get it, but it took forever to get a menu (in fact, I finally had to ask for one...same with the coffee I ordered), and the food was also slow. What bugged me the most, though? I ordered a County Ham...Biscuit - $3.99 on the menu - and asked them to put egg on it. I expected an upcharge of $1, maybe $2. But they charged $7.99 for it. Honked me off a bit.More

We stopped for dinner after a long days drive. We came here with another couple. Both of our husbands said their hamburger were wonderful and my friend really loved her chicken salad sandwich. I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup, I wish it had...been served a little warmer. but the waitress made up for it all! Her name is “Jaz “, she’s a special lady, very intelligent, quick on her feet and can hook you up with an awesome meal in no time! She can even recommended the most delicious moist coconut cake in town! okayMore
