Food was decent, service a little lacking. Had to tackle a waitress to get more bread. Wine list good but expensive and glasses are small. Cocktail list good. Not very receptive to any changes regarding allergy and would not make concessions, even on salad. Steak...More

Ever changing menu, this place is my favorite place in Chapel Hill. You never get the same dish if you go 4-5 times per year. The menu is small and if you are lucky, you may get a surprise taster's menu. When in doubt and...More

We always try to find local restaurants to try, and weren't disappointed in Elaine's. A small restaurant, the store front windows make it seem larger, We would have liked to sit in the window area, but the tall table and chairs leave no place to...More

This was a celebration for my daughter-in-law receiving her MBA at UNC, so we wanted a very nice restaurant and Elaine's fit the bill. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Great wine list.

Walked to this establishment from my hotel, the atmosphere was great, bartender friendly and provided great service. The appetizer selection was unique, had the Duck for the main course. The food was fresh and well prepared and very enjoyable.... highly recommend. Prices were reasonable versus...More
