We went here for the first time for a birthday dinner. We dressed up a little but could have also come in casual clothes as others at the bar had done. Decor is nice inside and we had a quiet table. Server was friendly and efficient. Started with the chicken and basil dumplings; 4 per serving ($7). Generously filled and... More

This is an contemporary up-scale Asian restaurant with a very diverse menu. We had two types of dumplings that were very good. I had pad thai and my wife had gado gado (recommended by a friend who had recently had it in Indonesia). Both entrees were great. Quiet; very good service. We give this restaurant our highest rating.

Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so happy to have you and what a rare treat to have dined someone who could compare ours to true Indonesian Gado Gado! We look forward to having you here with us again in the future. More

The service is always great, as are the drinks and food. Sit outside if you can, it's really cute in the back.

One of my favorites in chapel hill. Don't have to be dressed up despite its trendy decor. Always welcoming and professional. My kids love it as well (10-19) although it is hard to get them past the appetizers. My favorites are: Mongolian ribs- spicy and tangy and ridiculously tender Flank steak is also a favorite although a little over cooked... More

I've eaten at Jujube's a number of times over the past few years. I am a big fan of Asian fusion food and I appreciate what Jujube is trying to do. Unfortunately, though, the quality of the food has ranged from pretty good to so-so. My most recent visit was definitely in the so-so category. I keep hoping that the... More

It was our first visit and we were told they have great dumplings and appetizers. We agree on that, they were quite tasty. The butternut squash soup was a knockout. Our Kung pow chicken with peanuts should have been named Kung pow peanuts, veggies and some chicken, very disappointing. Ambience and service were great. Pricing was too high for what... More

Good ambience, friendly, capable service and creative cuisine are all features of our two most recent dining experiences at Jujbe. Hubby had the hanger steak both times (a good sign), while I indulged in duck the first time and succulent scallops with a delicious mushroom side that was on their specials menu the second time. We started with vietnamese veg rolls... More

Drink menu is smart with creative inspiration on both classic craft cocktails and fun fusion-y themes, it seems. Quite nice sake list is a plus, deep beer selection, and almost everything on the wine list looks well curated, appealing and range-y. Staff seem considerate and nice, tho could be quicker on getting my next drink order, ha. The cuisine? Nice... More

Staff are fabulous and Julian was welcoming was always. Jujube caters (ask for the separate menu) to special dietary needs, I.e. gluten free, vegan, but allergies etc. This menu identifies which main menu items would be appropriate for your needs. One of 2 places in town that serves gluten free calamari.
