I love this place, have since the day it opened! Run by a local family this whole time, the menu has changed a little, but they can always accommodate what you want. Super fast, friendly service and delicious food. As a plus, their take-out containers are *recyclable*!

I came to this place using a groupon. I ordered their burrito, which costs $10 and includes rice and beans. They brought chips to the table which were okay. The burrito was around half filled. They loosely wrap the burrito so that it covered more area of the dish. It wasn't that big and not that great tasting. You are... More

We had incredibly bad service. The waitress was rushed and spilled a plate of hot fajitas in my friend's lap. The waitress did not apologize. I went to let the manager to let him know this had happened, and he acted like he was angry at us! He did not apologize. While the manager was at our table, another of... More

This has been a frequent stop for lunch when we're in Chapel Hill. Our most recent visit was for dinner and it was disappointing. None of us enjoyed our entrees. This was a surprise as we usually like Bandido's. I don't know if they've changed their recipes, were just overwhelmed with the crowd or what. But if it it's the... More

We had planned to get Mexican at a different restaurant, but when we ditched the movie part of dinner & movie night, decided we wanted to hang out on Franklin Street, and a friend had recommended a satellite location of this restaurant, so we tried it. It's in the alley where the Rat was. The food was very good Mexican,... More

Came in for a quick bite on a whim. Restaurant was clean and uncrowded, which was great. The service was polite, friendly, and VERY speedy. The food was pretty average, however. Salsa, queso dip, and black beans were good. I had veggie enchiladas in which the veggies were fresh and well-prepared, but the mole sauce on top was over-salted. Guacamole... More

My research group eats lunch here every week. The menu has variety, the dish design is tasteful, the service is swift, and the prices are quite reasonable.

How could you not like this place? Great location, great selection. Most of us got the fish taco's, and they nailed it. Best I have had outside of SoCal. Wide variety of salsa's and fresh chips, free iced teas with all of our lunch selections. Friendly service. Great all around!

Having lived in places like Texas, where Mexican food runs deep in most of its cities, I was skeptical of this cafe when I came to UNC to study. I can say, however, that this place certainly surpassed my expectations. I was surprised at the variety and prices of their foods; they also have some of the best mole enchiladas... More
