Actually ate there twice for breakfast. We had to be at UNC early both days and this was on the way from hotel. We only did drive thru so I can't comment on facility. Staff - What a happy bunch of folks early in the morning. Seriously!. They gave us time to order, smiled and said good morning at the... More

You can split a biscuit they are so large. I find them a little greasy and coffee needs a bit of an upgrade but people swear by this place. Take out only and very consistent.

This is the best place in Chapel Hill for a cheap, fatty, delicious breakfast sandwich. No seating, but pretty quick drive thru and walk up service. My go to place after a long night out :)

Tasty biscuits to go! They definitely put sausage on one biscuit when I asked for two sandwiches with kale, egg and cheese--NO! That was awful and it was a bad surprise for my friend when she opened it to reveal--meat that she can't eat. The biscuits were not the best I've ever had, but they are certainly some of the... We ordered food for about 15 people and we held up the line maybe about two minutes. Great biscuits and meats. Try them if you are ever in Chapel Hill!

I am from the south and these are the best biscuits I've ever had! I had the ham biscuit and it was to die for! I would definitely recommended. Also, they provide little treats for your fur baby!

Lines are long but go reasonably fast. The chicken was OK. The biscuit was so so dry. Have to put honey or something on there to help it out.

Yes, people line up down the street on weekends (in their car, blocking traffic) for Southern Biscuit. It's a drive through that has been a tradition in Chapel Hill on game days, and sometimes just plain (mostly) weekends. So, if you are in to the tradition, great. But, if what you want is a great biscuit, then these are only... More

now, you don't have to burn fossil fuels to buy a sunrise biscuit-the best biscuit in Chapel Hill. you can park at the parking lot next door-and walk over-but watch for a line in the parking lot, because only 3 people can be in the kitchen at a time-and now a line forms to walk over, in addition to the...
