Had a group, pre-graduation dinner there and was impressed! Landmark building, old Southern charm and hospitality, polished service, yet thoroughly modern food. We had a banquet menu, but even that had plenty of choices for omnis and vegs alike. The menu changes, so I can only recommend what I had on that night: a salad with gorgonzola and candied nuts,... The Sunday brunch at the Carolina Inn's Crossroad restaurant is back! It used to be our family's favorite place to celebrate birthdays and special family get-together and was a place that held a lot of happy memories. As you can tell I am so pleased it is back. The food is still delicious, the ambience is more casual than before... More

This is very fancy nice atmosphere restaurant inside of the hotel. I had lovely lunch with my friends. Food was excellent and the presentation was very neat. I had shrimp and Grits which was great. I highly recommend this restaurant. Surprised ranked lower than should be!

The food is OK and the service in my experience pretty good. We used to go there for special occasions or when we had something to do in town after dinner. But no longer. The Carolina Inn was once a gracious, relatively quiet, engaging place to eat. After the remodel it's just another loud, contemporary bar and bistro. Chapel Hill... More

Booked a reservation for a Sunday morning brunch for my daughter's sweet 16! We are long time Chapel Hill residents and have been to the Carolina Inn for so many things - Friday's on the porch, post football game events, Playmaker's ball, mother/daughter teas, Gingerbread house tour, etc. and my kids were dying to go back since Crossroads has re-invented... The food was fine (nothing to write home about), the service was very attentive and the decor is very contemporary.

Our server was friendly and asked whether we were going to the theater; we replied, yes. We ordered salads and appetizers as it was on the early side (6 p.m.). The restaurant was practically empty. My friend had fried shrimp and asked if there was a red sauce instead of remoulade. Our server never really came back with the answer,... More

We live next door in Durham and eat at Crossroads annually in celebration of our April wedding. Seventeen years ago we went to the restaurant with our very small wedding party for a champagne breakfast and try to return every year. We were not able to go in 2016, so this year is our first time eating there since their... More

We had only one night in Chapel Hill on this trip (on the way to Florida) and elected to skip on Sutton's and Crook's Corner this time to try the famed Crossroads. For the most part the meal did not disappoint. For the appetizers, my 12 year old ordered the fried shrimp and lemons which (from the little of it... More
