Had breakfast here before the UNC vs Duke football game. Was amazed by the line to get in and even more amazed at how quickly they were turning over tables. The waffles are excellent and a must. Very nice job!

We all ordered omelettes, and they were great. Service was excellent, food came out quickly and was nice and hot. Good grits, and the grilled biscuits with honey were yummy. Good place for breakfast!

They've put a Waffle House down the street, which is good for any time after breakfast because Ye Olde Waffle Shop will be closed. But if you're eating breakfast at breakfast time, don't even think about going anywhere else. There's no comparison.

We ate at the Waffle Shop on our last morning at UNC and it is truly worth the wait for a table that you'll most likely endure. The seating area is small, so coming early is always a good plan to ensure a table when you arrive. The waffles are clearly the main attraction, and are 100% worth ordering, but... More

For a blast from the past, visit Ye Old Waffle Shop. When you walk in you will see a string of waffle irons and the old fashioned grill area and counter of your grandparents. We enjoyed our meal here. Our booth was an homage to formica. You could film a Mayberry episode here in black and white. Loved the food... More

Breakfast was very good and right in the heart of UNC. Biscuit sandwich was great and pancakes were light and fluffy. Small seating area so get there early during school sessions or you'll be waiting.

We eat here quite a bit, as we really enjoy the food and the wait staff is super friendly and helpful. That said, it's a bit difficult to navigate if you have medical equipment. The front half is diner-style with just bar stools up to the counter in front of the cooks. The bar stools don't seem mobile. There are... More

Ye Olde Waffle Shop, right near the UNC campus, has delicious traditional breakfast food in an old-time setting. The service is excellent and the place impeccably clean.

Right downtown and easy to miss. Clean, fast and lots of options. Enjoyed our breakfast here. Looks crowded up front? Don't miss the big dinning room in the back.
