1. Atmosphere: Unique and inviting. Sat in a lovely window seat overlooking Franklin St. 2. Food: I highly recommend ordering the weekend only special thinly sliced lamb...it was amazing and enough for two people. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection. I also tried the lamb dumplings and falafel...both authentic and tasty. And you MUST order the "shredded wheat" dessert...it... More

If you like Turkish food, this place is very authentic. I felt like I was back in Turkey. The mezze was excellent and my husband had the sea bass which he really enjoyed. The bread came to the table, freshly baked, and hot! The red pepper dip they gave us was wonderful. I had a wrap and my only complaint... More

I have had the chance of eating at Talullas for several times.I usually order the same food , Talullas' Salad and red lentil soup, this is just me... Their soup is spicy but not hot spicy and tastes delicious. However, my desert choice alternates between Kunefe and Baklava. They definitely serve kunefe warm enough so that you can see that... Soups, appetizers, main meal and dessert were incredible and the best I have ever had. Our waiter Oscar, was helpful, kind and very thoughtful. Our meals were fantastic. The bread and complimentary ground pepper dip was enough for a meal. We ordered dumplings and loved how they were served. Flavorful but not spicy. My chicken meal and my wife's eggplant... More

Tried this restaurant out with a few friends for the Triangle Dining Week, and they are definitely one of the tastiest places I've eaten in Chapel Hill, and I might even go as far as saying they could be one of the top eateries I've visited in the US so far. The beef was melt in your mouth type of... More

Well I went inside and outside the rib cage. The Turkish salad a must followed by calf's liver in an onion sauce started the meal right. The liver and onions theme must originate from Turkey. Growing up in the UK it was the poor man's roast beef along with tongue. Lamb chops next just outstanding all washed down with a... More

This being the first time I have ever experienced Turkish food I was quite surprised. The bread they provide in the beginning of the meal is really good with all the different sauces they provide as well. The main course was very good and desert. The decor of the place was really cool and the designs of the rugs were... More

If you have't tried Turkish food, Talulla's is the place to begin. The food is superb, with a wide variety of choices for all tastes and the option of outdoor dining in teh right weather adds to the ambience.

Great Persian food! This is a great spot for special occasions, but so delicious you will be making up occasions just to go. The service can be slow and pretty "hands-off" at times, but the chef is friendly and will make suggestions if you ask. Try the specials when they have them. The front window seats are fun but the... Description
When you walk through the shadowed glass doors of Talulla's, an instant transformation begins to occur. Your mind and body begin to relax. Your ears pick up on the eclectic mix of music. Your eyes wonder around the walls, decorated in Turkish rugs; then the ceilings, scattered with warm, unique lighting pieces; then the floors... the dark, hardwood floors; and finally, across the plush seating areas, disguised by cushions and pillows and fabric leisurely draped around the frames.
