Very casual atmosphere with excellent food. One can eat out in the peaceful courtyard or inside in their nice atmosphere. I've never had a bad meal - or bad service (staff is always friendly).

Vimala's is a special place. She provides an exceptionally creative take on Indian food, using the freshest ingredients--you'll find her at the Farmer's Market each Saturday shopping for the week. She and the staff provide a low key welcome in a funky environment and I have yet to try a dish that wasn't delicious. Her community connections make the place... More

Casual atmosphere - order at counter, get a number, seat yourself and they bring your food out. Very community friendly establishment which is a wonderful thing but the food is why you go out to eat and Vimala's excels. Fresh hot dosa ...........Mmmmmmmmmm. Love this place. Eating in the courtyard is really nice if the weather is good.

Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe received a $100,000 grant in 2015 in recognition of its contributions to the community, especially non-profits. What matters to travelers, however, is the outstanding food drawn from both northern and southern traditions. Specials change daily and feature veggie, lamb, and chicken with yellow rice on the side. Owners Vimala and Rush are often available for quick conversations.... More

Good Indian food, but not as good as I had expected from some review I had seen. We had some pakora, but the cauliflower pakora was under-cooked (batter was still runny inside). The curry was good, though.

This restaurant isnt fancy or upscale...you go up to the register to order and the interior is very basic, but the food is excellent. Our group had the chicken biryani special and a shrimp dish on the menu and some naans. Portions arent large but they are decent. Service was slow -- took 35 minutes before they brought out our... Small place inside, nice patio outside, limited menu, staff were very nice and helpful. I don't eat Indian food very often and when we do my wife makes the choices for me. But my daughter wanted to go, so we went, Order at the bar and the food comes to you. get your own water, cutlery and napkins. Prices were... More

It's a studenty place. Friendly and informal. The food isn't good though and we don't understand the high recommendations. The pakora were stodgy with little or no fillings. Lamb rogan josh was ok but heavy, no subtlety in spicing. Chicken curry hadn't had the spices cooked out properly. The nan wasn't cooked through and was as flat as a pancake.... More

I got an experience to try food here in the starting of my pregnancy. I really enjoyed each and every food which they serve it was authentic south indian dish. And even the service here is excellent.

They *really* need some signs or something even to find the entrance is a bit iffy if you've not been there before as it is through what looks like an alley or an entrance to a private residence. There is a ramp, so once someone told me that it was the entrance, I could get into the courtyard. There, an... More
