We ate pâté, vichyssoise, saffron shrimp artichokes risotto, clams with vegetable sauce. All were delicious! Small and very unassuming place. What s pleasant surprise.

This small intimate French-style restaurant is inconspicuously tucked away in the corner of a small shopping center, but boasts a consistently excellent menu, an eclectic wine list, and a loyal clientele. House specialties include mussels and duck confit. A perfect venue for couples and small groups.

We have been here several times on date nights and with the family. The space is small and often packed. Last night, I ordered the Basque mussels and a glass of Muscadet wine. The mussels were fresh and delicious (cooked just right), and I used the bread to dip into the sauce. YUM. I've had ALL varieties of their mussels... More

I love the food here and have yet to be disappointed. The quarters are rather tight and the service isn't always spectacular, but I'm not complaining about either. I've had the pork, the salmon and daily specials (fish), plus desserts. All excellent.

By recommendation, I stopped at Kitchen during a recent business trip for dinner. I was told the mussels were excellent. After hearing the specials, I decided to try the soft-shell crab over green beans and potatoes. The presentation was awesome, the two crabs were beautiful. Being a northern, I asked about eating the crab. I definitely thought the waiter was... More

Had heard great things about this restaurant, but what I experienced was below average. Soup was bland and lukewarm. Tried the shrimp salad, and the shrimp were only partially deveined, with the veins smeared down the sides of a couple of the shrimp. The avocado was not nearly ripe, and the paltry amount of lettuce and dressing were really not... More

Farm to table local and fresh. We had a big group. Mussels were delicate, fresh and flavorful. This appears to be their best known dish with several options. The saffron risotto with shrimp and some of the most tender artichokes I have eaten was my favorite on this visit. The lemon white wine sauce was exceptional. Salmon with niscoise salad... More

Our time at Kitchen was very nice. It's a small place & the atmosphere was pleasant. There was a wait for a table so we went to the bar & had a glass of wine. The bartender was very knowledgeable & reviewed the menu with us. I have to be gluten free & one other had an allergy to garlic.... More

The food my friend and I had for lunch was very good. Service was friendly, but it was a bit slow. Overall, it was a good experience. The main issue I had was the parking. Their website states that there is plenty of free parking, but that is not the case. The parking is free, but it took more than... More

In the area for commencement weekend at Duke University, looking for a place to accommodate 8 for dinner last minute on a Friday night. Called the kitchen at 6:30 and they reserved a table for us at 7pm. Table was ready when we arrived and we were immediately greeted by our friendly waitress who took our drink order and explained...
