"Kitchen" is a small, out-of-the-way restaurant. I'd read good reviews, but we were both somewhat disappointed. The food was ok, but neither of our meals were all that good. The chicken didn't seem fully cooked in the middle, and the seasoning was ok, but not...More

We had a very nice dinner here and I can definitely recommend the restaurant for its food. On the other hand when it comes to the wines by glass, our experience was rather below average. We tried their recommended house wine (a Barbera) as well...More

This is one fine restaurant. French (or Belgian?) based cuisine without pretension, faddishness, or a half-translated menu. The food and staff are exceptionally good. Mussels, duck, seafood, soup, salads, frites, mushroom tart, wine, beer, dessert–-all first class. Duck French onion soup and borscht are special,...More

This hidden gem was a real treat for lunch! A great menu, and each item we selected was just delicious! Especially good were the mushroom soup, the mussels, and the oyster salad. Don’t miss out on this restaurant for a fun French lunch!!

Very nice stop for lunch and dinner. The service was friendly and prompt. Our dishes were excellent. I would recommend it without hesitation. Try any of the mussels dishes.

A favorite - always delicious and the service is great. Highly recommended. We love the small, familiar feel of the room and that the menu, while not long, always has a few tempting options on it.

I have been here many times and always love what I eat. The mushroom soup is a star. The modules are spectacular. It is a small and intimate restaurant, so get there early to enjoy the wonderful Ed’s of this treasure!

There is no better place to eat in Chapel Hill than Kitchen. Period. Four of us went for dinner. I can't not have the mussels when I go. Had the Basque style this time with chorizo and saffron in the broth. Excellent, as always! The...More
