This is a very good Indian restaurant. Most people order the buffet, but if you are willing to wait a bit, the menu items are great. The only downside is that the parking in Chapel Hill is a nightmare.

Visited for Saturday brunch with my daughter. Her first time eating Indian out. We chose the buffet so that she could try a great variety. The price was great the selection was great. Since it was a buffet, the food wasn't near as spicy as...I like. The goat was mostly all bones and the vindaloo was flavorless. They offer all you can drink champagne which would appeal to the younger grad student types. My daughter loved the mango milkshake.More

I only ended up here because I arrived in town early for a show at Local 506 one night and this is just a couple doors down, but I'm really glad I stumbled across it. The food was excellent, particularly the vegetable samosa and mulligatwany...soup. Liquor and cocktail selection was also pretty good. The service was great, especially when I accidentally left my jacket behind. By the time I realized it, I was already well into the show I was attending and didn't want to leave, so I just hoped they'd hold onto it. Immediately after the show I returned, and before I could even ask my server saw me and grabbed my jacket from behind the host's station, telling me he'd tried to run out after me with it but hadn't been able to find me. I'm sure if I'd been going anywhere more than 2 doors away he would have caught me in the street to return my jacket, which I definitely appreciated.More

We had the lunch buffet. all the dishes were fantastic. I especially like the vegetable korma, the tikka marsalas, lemon rice, mint sauce and the naan. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, great service and good prices. Our whole group of 6 loved it.

Our family spent the evening at the Mint and enjoyed the menu with all of the variety and nice offerings. Appetizers were varied with ample servings. This was my first time with Indian food and it was a good experience.

Not a fancy place but buffet was good indian fare, fresh and with unlimited champagne as well for brunch you cannot beat the price of $15.00

Had dinner here with friends. Excellent menu, find vegetarian selections, excellent service, very tasty food, seasoned as requested, reasonable prices. A very enjoyable dinner. Would recommend and gladly return.

We enjoy our food it was very good, we had lamb and it was delicious we also tried the garlic naan and it was fresh and soft the only thing I think can improve is the service, the communication between us and the waiter wasn’t...very good and I have to ask several times to get a refill of my drink till the point that I just give up and forgot about it.More

Lots of choices for Indian food in this town. We tried mint and we were pleased. We both had an eggplant dish that was excellent. Nice and spicy and flavorful. Rosemary nan and pappadam good as well. Lots of other menu choices. Nice wine list....Friendly service. Reasonable prices.More

We shared three dishes. The crab tiki masala was strong flavor, too much for my wife, but I liked it. The korma was good and the shahi paneer was everyone’s favorite. The garlic naan was good as well.

These dishes were to die for! Everything tasted amazing and the service was pretty good. I would recommend this place for anyone who is in the Chapel Hill area and is searching for some good Indian food :)

We went for an early dinner on a Saturday night. Had the pick of tables in a lovely dining room. We ordered the shrimp fritters. They weren’t really fritters, they were very big shrimp fried with a nice crust. Very well prepared with two delicious...sauces. One was a cilantro-ish sauce. The other was a sweet Asian-ish sauce. We loved them both. A little pricey...$12.99 for 6 shrimp, but good. My daughter and I got the Chicken Tikki Masala. Delicious and not hot at all. We don’t like hot food. My son got the chicken curry and it was also very good. His was much spicier but he asked for it to be spicier, so it was perfect for him. My husband was having trouble deciding between two of the vegetarian dishes and they offered to make his half and half. We loved that. They brought us a huge serving of basmati rice and then refilled it so we had a fresh bowl for our take home leftovers. I took more of mine home than I ate. Very large and filling portions. Vegetarian dishes were $14-15. Our chicken dishes were $17-18. That is kind of pricey for Indian food but the servings were very large and the quality was very high. We ordered one serving of garlic naan and one serving of plain for a total of $7. That was really high for the amount of bread we got. The only disappointment we had was that typically you get some naan with Indian dishes. This cane with none and the price was really high for the bread. It was absolutely delicious, but too expensive. We had a Groupon where we paid $40 for $80 worth of food. For 4, the total was $86 plus tip, so our dinner for four actually wound up costing us $46 plus tip. That was a real bargain! Please look for a Groupon. I think they have them often. Overall, we found the quality of the food and the service to be excellent but I think if we had not had a Groupon we might have felt we overpaid. One other note that may mean a lot to some, they ask you how spicy you want your dish and ask you to rate it 1-5. We absolutely loved that because my daughter and I like our food very mild while my husband likes his a little spicier and our son, rather spicy. We will return. Cheers!More
