My wife and I went to Canyon Kitchen for dinner Sunday evening and it was fabulous! We got there 25 minutes early and had drinks on the "Great Meadow" looking at Cow Rock. A wonderful sight. We dined inside but the doors that form the walls were open allowing great a great view during the meal. She had the Lamb... More

Well its pricey but ranks up there in top places to eat in North Carolina. Chef is very very good. Everything about this place is first class. Go before your reservation to have a drink in out door area. When in Cahiers you want to make a reservation at this place. Make it several days ahead or you will not... More

I have dined numerous times with family and friends at Canyon Kitchen over the past several years, most recently 2 weeks ago. It is a spectacular setting, and the fixed price menu never disappoints. While it is expensive, it is worth the cost.

First and foremost this is a beautiful establishment located on what has to be one of the most picturesque spots in the sapphire valley. Equally wonderful was the service we received from our server Taylor who could not be more accommodating, responsive and sweet. Also, the menu although somewhat limited was filled with a diverse selection of interesting choices. Having... More

So impressed with the facility. And the staff made it feel like home. Very fine dining in a very casual facility in the mountains of North Carolina. We drove over an hour to eat here and honestly, would do it once a week. That is how much we enjoyed it.

Just had an amazing dinner and experience with my husband and good friends. The executive chef is so talented and friendly. Every single dish did not disappoint. The view tops off the experience. It's a once in a lifetime dinner! They know what they are doing here.

The physical setting of this restaurant is nothing short of magnificent. It is unfortunate that the food and management in no way compare. The food is interesting in its composition, but lacks taste. The service is slow and the management quite indifferent. We were told to quickly take our table and not spend time walking the lawn. It was another... More

With a magnificent venue overlooking Lonesome Valley, this place is worth a visit for that alone, even if the food didn't quite measure up to the site. Service was great, with very helpful and attractive young wait staff. Go early for a drink outside and soak up the view. Unfortunately the food was maybe average. I justify going here for... More

Plan to come early and spend a few minutes enjoying a drink on the grounds and take a few photos. The location is a big part of the experience. The food was very good, but my expectations may have been set a tad high going in, so I wasn't blown away. Service was excellent. The room is very open, so... More
